At this point of the game it is one of the best light armor sets. Also, great fire and poison resistance. So yes, if you don't mind the missing poise.

Did you go the very easy way for Ceaseless?

I took the armor and tried to run the fuck away when he awakened. Then he got stuck ... I'm assuming that's the really easy way.

Well, I just died to cute gigantic panda mushrooms.

I feel like the developers of this game were on shrooms when they made the hollows. There is no other explanation.

If you run fast enough, he does a leap and lands beside you - when you hit his hand he falls off. Thats the easy way.

Gold hemmed set is great, good fire resist, and really light. Although I'd usually stick a different helm on.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

In the hollow you can also find ten crystal lizards. You can see most of them, but it is tricky to reach them. For most of them you have to drop down from the bonfire, to the right of the path-branch, on another branch and follow it. Afterwards you can drop down to two different caves, one with two and one with five crystal lizards. Started playing Dark Souls again and got there yesterday 2 titanite slabs Posted Image

Seeing how many other trees are going up to support other lands blew my mind. This is only a chunk of what is happening.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

The Great Hollow is hell, and the mushroom dudes are annoying as fuck, who knew a shroom could hit so damn hard? It is fantastic level design though and what's agt the bottom as well, by gawwwd!

Love the Gold-Hemmed set btw, one of, if not the best super-light sets in the game frankly, as such it's brilliant for remaining under the 25% weight restriction for fast-rolling without using Havel's Ring or the Ring of Favour and Protection and without pumping loads of levels into Endurance - I always did this anyway though tbh. You can always wear a heavier helm for poise as well tbh, depending on your Endurance. By NG++ my main set-up (on my main character at any rate) was full Gold-Hemmed, Darkwood Grain Ring for ninja flips, Wolf Ring for poise increase, Grass Crest Shield and Great Scythe. Think I also had a character that used Havel's chestpiece and leggings, Mask of the Father, any gauntlets with good all-round defenses that weren't ridiculously heavy and then either 2 Rings of Favour and Protection or one plus Havel's or the Wolf Ring - fast rolling tank or a mid-roll super tank :)

But yeah, Ceaseless Discharge is probably the easiest boss in the game, except possibly the Bed of Chaos - but that fight could be your easiest or far and away your hardest most frusttrating Souls experience bar none! It's a special case!

I'm waiting patiently for you to reach Anor Londo, it'll be special :p Wish I could experience that for the first time again.

EDIT: When you do get a ring of F/P it is very good, but they break if you ever take them off. So wearing two is not really advisable unless you somehow have loads of spares because it makes you far less adaptable.

I just got home after an 8-9 day.
I was really tired, annoyed, and stressed. Didn't want to go to sleep or do anything really. Opened up the game out of boredom and even though I just died a couple of times without achieving much, I already feel so much better.

Am I turning into a masochist or is this shit really therapeutic?

Wait until you get a boss you have to really work at. Adrenaline junky time! (Although not much sleep straight after)

If I have a bad day there's nothing that beats artfully smacking the shit out of something to make me feel better.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

The rules are *there*. Your play is *this level*. You CAN do it. And the story reveals itself piece by beautiful and heart breaking piece.

It's absolutely therapeutic.

Ash Lake...

I don't know why the fuck this world needs gigantic trees growing out of an underground lake to exist, but holy fuck this atmosphere...

Yep.

It doesn't help that the bonfire at the top is kind of hidden.

On the plus side, I'll let you know that if you have nothing to lose souls wise, and you've done something silly like get to to top but forgotten to open the shortcut down (heh) you can run, dodge and balance your way back up again in quite a short amount of time.

You just have to have done it a few (many!) times!

Good luck...

I got past the first group of those chopping things, went up the stairs and got past the second group of them as well.

Then I walked into a doorway and a stone rolled over me. Instant alt+f4

Doesn't help that there a billion of those lizard-lightning-artillery-jerks bombing you from all over the place. And yes, I am going to keep naming these mobs ludicrous things. If they had real names, the developers would have put the names in game.

Holy mother of god. I just found the room that the stones originate from.

Holy shit. This is magnificent. I'm literally sitting here with a grin on my face just looking at the mechanism.
