Consort of Dark/Suzerain of Dark/King of Night stuff gets into Darujhistan also being a card in the Deck. Though, I tend to think of Draconus card' popping up in RotCG more akin to Knight of Shadow randomly making it's way into T'amber's Deck in The Bonehunters. I.e., an emergence or reemergence of a power once present, e.g. House of Chains and House of Shadow.

Ah yes, the Blue City card or whatever it was for Darujhistan, along with The Tyrant. That goes into the whole Deck being flexible thing, with local variations and bigger or smaller decks and such. We see so few Decks and readings, most of them from the same 3 characters, so it's hard to really say, but it definitely seems like new cards can spring out of the Deck. Now there could be a lot of reasons for this, such as:

-none of the existing cards match the person/concept well enough
-the thing is of such power that it forces out its own card where it has influence (there's a mention somewhere of powerful forces taking over weaker cards in Decks)
-the Talent controlling this particular Deck has added their own cards (ie: local cards added in 7C {see HoC} or Tiserra adding Darujhistan and the Tyrant, she didn't seem very surprised when they came out of the Deck...)
-Ganoes Paran decides to add a card (ie: Guardians of the Dead)

some of these reasons might be true, they might not. I really don't know, it's just speculation at this point. Generally I think the High Houses plus Unaligned make for a useful default scheme for the Deck but it isn't really compelled to use or not use any particular card, nor prohibited from making up new cards or really anything. And above all, we really just don't plain know the power of the Deck. Can you really say that the Knight of Shadow card came up in tBH because ST was recognizing Trull in that role, or is it the other way around...?

Actually it was a lot more fundamental than that. It was suggested that Shadow itself was acknowledging Trull.

I wonder at how accurate THIS is...

Ooh, I must have missed the part where the Crimson Guard Avowed had a card in the Deck of Dragons. Also, I like how Liss randomly calling Hurl a title that isn't even a card in the Deck is taken as absolute truth, but when Clip (who's actually powerful and accomplishes things far beyond what Hurl can do) calls himself a title, it is "unsubstantiated"...

It could be close, but still has some faults. Also a reading does not mark you as the person holding the role except the one in Letharas by Fid (he actually says so). However on Rhulad I think he was the mortal sword of the CG not the king in chains. Their are some tidbits to suggest it, but not have them on hand.

Not quite sure where to ask this-- I've been wondering on what exactly the Deck of Dragons is. At first it seems to be just a tool for reading, but it is a lot more than that, as events from Fiddler's reading in RG, and even TBH suggest. Has anyone thought about the deck being aspected to any realm/warren? The deck seems to a power of its own; much more than just a tool of prophecy. I would suspect if it was aspected to a warren/realm it would have to be Starvald Demelain. Any thoughts on this? Has this already been discussed?

Great question (That means I dont really know the answer) but I can hypothesize.
Since it knows about the warrens (the source of which is Starvarld Demelain) and is called the Deck of "Dragons" that would make sense.

But

It actually tracks houses,
so I would suspected it is somehow connected to the Azath.

Any idea what the unaligned "Chain" card is.
Apparently, Tavore is the Chain.

It's fine until they get the unaligned ascendants all muddled in with the unaligned cards, also, Apsalar instead of Apsal'ara, and listed Silverfox as Sister of Cold Nights, not sure why there are others listed as ascendants either - Tulas Shorn for one, but it's an interesting list.

Not seen it mentioned by anyone else but there is a refference in GotM (during a Fiddler card game/reading) to Prince Kazz being the captain of light.
