Perhaps it was the memory of the frightened girl from the day before, but the mob just couldn't bring themselves to take matters into their own hands yet again. After slapping Liosan around, shoving her to the ground and pulling her up again, inexplicably the fight seemed to go out of the group like an exhaled breath and they let her go.

As many of them turned to go, someone muttered "what's that beeping?"

They stopped to listen, as the beeping grew steadily louder, seeming to come from two directions at once. Gradually, two pairs of eyes widened and with realization just dawning there was a terrific BLAM.

With a chorus of screams, the rest scattered.

It is now Night, and will be for 1 hour.

First, shoulda lynched Sorrit. That recap showed all kinds of people willing to do it. Ah well... pity I couldn't be on.

Second, two deaths? Surely that means someone used and ability to activate a collar the previous night... or maybe there were three people attached to a single collar group (Omtose) after all?

Well Lio CF'd innocent, so maybe I was wrong. He could have been a symp, but speculating on stuff like that is always a dangerous path to go down. What I don't like is that no one who voted after me did so for the reasons that I did. GL especially voted for wishy-washy reasons.

The collar deactivation mechanic is a tricky one - it's only beneficial to town if someone's collar is deactivated after being activated by their partner's death, otherwise it is just a bit of a random vig. So if it is a town role it would have to be coupled with some sort of knowledge of who is partnered to who, maybe in the form of a find? It could be a scum role, but I think that is a bit less likely, since it would essentially be a second kill for scum in a game with an already high death-rate. If it is a scum power one has to wonder whether they would use it on themselves as early as possible and garner suspiscion, or target a random inno, get the free kill from the partner and be a bit safer when using it on themselves after the first person they targetted CFs inno.

What stands out to me in all that is that the two that died during the night (Liosan and Merrid) both expressed strong suspicions of GL. Rashan mentions taking a look at GL as well IIRC. It's worth looking there I think, it's a pretty common strategy to quietly take out those who look at you, and three people who did so are now dead. Circumstantial, granted, and is complicated by the collar-deaths (and that GL's collar is deactivated for some reason). However, we know that:


Omtose -> lynched Day 1 -> collar goes BLAM end of Day 2 -> Rashan or Korabas
Ampelas -> died night 1 -> collar goes BLAM end of Night 2 - > Liosan or Merrid


In all of that (if I'm at all on-base and not talking out of my ass) I'd place Rashan and Liosan as potential targets and Korabas and Merrid as collar-related deaths. Coupled with an ostensible connection to Sorrit (and a strong one at that), and that he himself is rather suspicious, I'm going to go ahead and

As for GL's collar thing, I don't think it's any less likely for it to be a scum ability than an inno one. There are definitely advantages on both sides. Since it confers survivability (somewhat, GL will be staving off NAs and potential lynches I suspect), it'd be a more effective ability to be able to use on yourself, since as an inno unless you're special in some way, you don't know anyone. Hilarious as it would be, there's a not-so-small chance it'll backfire and you'll target scum. That to me seems more unlikely, despite the fact GL denies all knowledge (and why wouldn't he, even if inno?). But Sorrit is right in that the kills don't match up otherwise. Then again, they don't have to all be scum kills, we still don't know why Amp died. *shrugs* I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, I can see it being a good double-edged sword for scum, but on the other I can also see it as a fairly decent town power. I'm reserving judgment on that score for the moment.

I am never drinking again until next time. woke up this morning in somebody else's resicence, with the vaguest recollection of how I got there.

as for the fact that the two ppl who suspected me got their heads blown off--it was night 2. by your logic (I think it's Osseric i'm adressing here), I would need to find these people's chain-mate, and deactivate their collrs. since/ both Merrid and liosan died from exploding heads.

I've gotta say, you flatter me by assigning me so much power, but I ain't got it. and if I did, it'd be horribly unbalanced.
