The Black Keys BROTHERS
Blitzen Trapper DESTROYER OF THE VOID
Drive-by-Truckers THE BIG TO-DO

Hehehe, I always make song top-10s.
1. Tiger - Maximum Balloon vs Aku Maximum Balloon (all I could find was the shorter (2.20 instead of 3.30) version with Daisy Lowe dancing, so here's the HD version). Also, thanks to Falstad Wildhammer for introducing me to it.
2. Ain't no Grave - Johnny Cash, American VI.
3. Heartsink - Blood Red Shoes, fire like this.
4. trick Pony - Charlotte Gainsbourgh, IRM
5. All of the lights - Kanye West , My beautiful dark twisted fantasy (it is simply THE album of the year, and it will be considered legendary... no doubts about it).
6. Pop the Glock, Uffie - the album Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans was released this year, so it counts.
7. Immunize - Pendulum ft Liam Howlett, Immersion
8. I think I like it - Fake Blood, the Fix your Accent EP.
9. Dans, Dans, Dans - Jack Parow ft Francisco van Coke, untitled album
10. Bird 1 - Underworld, Barking
and as my three guilty pleasures:
Boemklatsch - Noisy, Spontaneous Combustion
Caro Emerald, back it up, deleted scenes from the cutting room
Glowing - Schradinova India Lima Oscar Vicoria Echo You.

I also didn't listen to much new music this year... a far cry from the days when I would sometimes buy an album a week. But here's a short list of what I liked:
The National - High Violet
Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
Brad Mehldau - Highway Rider
Blackbird Blackbird - Summer Heart
Gord Downie - The Grand Bounce
I thought there were also some pretty great songs on The Suburbs (e.g., Rococo). The Books really let me down this year; I am very sad about The Way Out.

I know it's hard to hear anything through the pesky wall-of-sound protest chanting up at Cal, but surely you heard something you liked this year.

I recognised maybe 4-5 of those names, none of which I would listen to in a million years by choice.
Either I am getting old, or there isn't much decent stuff being produced lately. I'm going with the latter.

"Fortune favors the bold, though statistics favor the cautious." - Indomitable Courteous (Icy) Fist, The Palace Job - Patrick Weekes
"Well well well ... if it ain't The Invisible C**t." - Billy Butcher, The Boys
