I wonder about this, cause I have heard varied opinions.

Some say the bottle is superior, while others say they can taste aluminium in the canned beer. Others still claim beer must only be enjoyed in a glass mug while others swear by earthenware.

I am all about a glass, pewter or porcelain mug, widemouth, with or without lid. Usually no lid.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

What kind of beer? Mass-brewed piss: straight out of the bottle/can. Quality Pilsner like Urquell, from a glass. Dubbels and Triples, from the glasses the brewery supplies.
Nothing with a lid, no porcelain either. That's where it ends, not where you get it from.

Well, the best will always be tapped beer. A pint of Erdinger or Franciskaner is like a little taste of heaven.

I generally drink beer (froma bottle) out of a glass. Although, I also have a pitch-lined leather tankard (mediaeval replica) and leather goblet, which I tend to drink certain beers out of when I'm playing total war! I know, i know, but i likes it...!

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I refuse to drink beer that comes in a can. I'm usually bottle-bound, unless I'm out on the town.

Bottle, definitely bottle. Though pint sized tapped beer ain't half bad either. But bottle is indeed the best.

Half pints, however, are for women and girly-men!
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Tee hee!! :)

I'm not fussed really. Just not out of a can, you can taste the aluminium.

Depends on the beer. On a hot summers day (I think we had one in Britain once) sometimes I don't care & just drink a cold lager straight from the bottle. A good ale must go in one of my tankards for proper drinking. I currently have 3. And yes, that plus Total War is an epic combination! :)

I also prefer the glass bottle. Especially after it's been in the freezer...

Urquell is a quality pilsner? Wow.

I drink it in any shape or form. I think I've even had a pour of Arrogant Bastard out of a sippy cup. The juice residue actually made the taste better.

There is no difference between canned beer and bottled beer, there was an article on gizmodo a couple months ago that confirmed this.

From the tap is a different story, i heard that kegs, unlike bottles and cans, are always kept cold.

Out of a funnel/beerbong?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

From my somewhat limited experience with anything other than lager, I would have to say ale goes best in a tankard. I generally just take most lager straight out of the bottle, but prefer it on tap in a pint glass.

Also, canned beer is the devil.

Out of a keg is superior to bottled or canned in every way (except accesibility of course). No contest.

I do not like frozen glasses. I dont want ice in my beer, it takes away from the flavor if your drinking a good beer.

I dont care what any article/scientist/drunk says, bottled beer is better than canned. Could it all just be in my head? Yes, but that doesnt make it any less true.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Compared to other regular pilsners like Budweiser, Heineken, Fosters, Carlsberg and Ki-Rin? Yeah, it most definately is. And fresh Urquell on tap, it beats them all. YMMV, but there's very little better than a true Czech brewed, Czech poured Urquell. Except one that is Czech brewed, Czech poured and brought to you by a cute Czech girl.

Budvar budejovicky is a great Czechoslovakian beer, Urqell tastes likes piss.

As a Dane I am insulted that you would claim that Urquel tastes better than a Tuborg or a Carlsberg.

I bite my thumb at you, sir!
