This looks like it could be quite good.
Interesting premise, an excellent director in Oscar winner Kevin MacDonald (The Last King of Scotland, State of Play) and a very strong looking cast including Donald Sutherland, Jamie Bell, Mark Strong and........, erm..., Channing Tatum.
Tatum may be the weak link as he has been total wank in everything i've seen him in, so fingers crossed he has developed as an actor since GI Joe.
Anyway here is the trailer and it looks good. Comparisons with Centurion and Arthur are certainly merited concerning the look of the film however, i'm hoping that the comparisons end there and the film is a couple of notches higher with regards to dialogue and plot.

Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

Interesting....
the idea of master becoming slave seems like a very good story arch.... but im guessing that is a small part of the plot, pity so much could be shown with that idea.

Looks like a reboot of "The Eagle of the Ninth", which was a British short series some time ago.

I will wait for a consensus of reviews.

The Eagle Of The Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliffe was my mom's fave book in high school...we shall see if it lives up to the book series. It looks good, but yeah Tatum is definitely the weak link.
