Well, I wish I had something more to say ... but besides Korabas' obvious alignment, and Ruse's lashing out to stir things up ... nothing comes up.

And I can sympathize somewhat with Tiamatha's posting pattern, of only a moderately small number of analytical posts. That's my usual style, especially in a faction game, where it's hard to dig into other people's posts and possible motivations without giving away too much about yourself.

Notice anything odd about other players, like Omtose, Emurlahn, Galain or me for instance? I find it a bit hard to believe that you can find nothing to comment on from 9 pages of content.

EDIT - and there's a point where obscuring your identity is not nearly as important as finding out who your opponents are.

I agree. I've already identified one of my opponents, I'm just trying to decide whether or not to vote right before I head to work, when I'll be unable to stick around and follow it up in conversation.

How about the fact that Ruse has jumped up to 21 posts in his last spate where he every posts had a swear word in it.

Yes I will give him that he was defending himself as there were few a players commenting on him. But swearing and calling someone a twat isn't really a constructive argument. He was really just wasting his time there but it has shoved him into the mid posters and from the low posters whom there has recently been a bit of a witch hunt against in recent games.

If you class that sort of posatge more relevant than my posts go ahead and lynch me. Unless your classing my posts irrelevant in that you had already thought of it and didn't need me to say it out loud, but I was pointing out to the players who might not have thought about it, so having players move into the central town increase the chance for finds, heals and guards to work compared to sitting in a satellite town.

Korabas jumped up and down saying that he was scared of me because I ignored the shit that was effectively flying on day 1, hence why I ignored it. Only in a few games have the first day been profitable also this is a faction game if I had joined in that argument was just as likely to get into a pissing match with a fellow faction member. ANd him trying to state that me saying I believe Yaun Shau killers would go into the central town suggests that I have to be Yuan SHau to think of that.

Not really Korabas I would still have said that despite what role I had. The advantage of being a killer is that you have the ability to remove people you believe may be obstacles to your side winning. Why the hell would they reduce their effectiveness by staying in a satellite town it pure simple logic. Faction Games are won by successful Night Actions.

I can't pin down why Rashan is playing as he is, especially the sudden switch to Liosan. And I don't want to pick on Ruse for being pissed, though the routine gets old, because I don't think he's around right now to respond, and might not be for a while.

However, I think ... well, guess I'll have to be a bit more out in the open here. I think we can all agree that in any faction game, the faction most likely to be able to recruit is the one everyone else needs to gang up on. But usually, in faction games, alliances are formed tacitly rather than overtly.

But here, we've got an open alliance between two factions against YS. And YS is most likely to be able to recruit, and I think Serc was that recruiter - admittedly based solely on his title. And I think Korabas' response to Serc's death is extremely telling - especially the way he tried to play down the importance of Serc's Role title. Korabas is very obviously YS. And I think a majority of players don't want to see them expand.

I'd also point out, Merrid, that according to your own recap of voting a few pages back, Korabas was first to vote (at least the way you've got them listed) on both Mockra and Liosan.

And that Liosan lynch took off fast, although that may have been end-of-Day-ism (which is why it's so hard to interpret).

I have just been harping on about Tiam and Ruse. Tiam made a good post above and has made me think about things, although Ruse is on my radar and had been from near the beginning, i think me and him are enemies and his little loss of temper and raged name calling just adds to these thoughts. all he did for a while was rage, post loads of one liners and as i said when he was doing it i think it was just to raise post count. then he calls me obtuse for suggesting it. i don't think he knows what that word means otherwise he wouldn't have used it where he did.

i'm on my way home now so won't be on til later.

Heavy emphasis on recruitment and allying, right there, not to mention the fact that it has some kind of effect on "grand strategies" (see Operations).
I would imagine that means Operations can be improved by recruiting people to your team, or at least that seems to be the subtext here.
If a recruitment mechanic is in play, a large number of killing roles would counteract that too much, so I figure there's only one or two one-shot killers, if any at all.

Thought this might further the idea that Serc was a YS recruiter.
