It works for when you don't actually want to give a reason. Silencer, you were Liosan last game yeah? Sorry about that whole thing. I knew you were the inquisitor since my leader was after you, plus an ambigious find on you, but I didn't want any part in the revealfest. So I said you were too smooth and friendly hehe. Which was good, cause I got put into a position to win the game, but couldn't quite manage. I needed to reveal myself as Venture and make their mistborn vote off whoever I was after. I had ment in the bag, for a little while anyway.

yeah, it was a good play.

I considered biting, but I decided to lurk untill the rest of my faction came out and showed themselves, particularly my boss.

never, i'd wager

at least I don't pretend to be smooth when I hig-post, :p

*I* never brought that claim up! It was laid against me, very unfairly, by people who had no other way to get me lynched because I was playing too well! Rawr.

@Stalker - I hate you! XD It was the most horrible form of "Got nothing to go on, don't want to stick my neck out, but KNOW he is guilty" imaginable. It's completely impossible to defend against, and God forbid I try making some slip-ups, otherwise it's "He's cracking under the pressure!" or some such nonsense. I hate crap like that. It's like: "Hey, that guy is symping you, you must be scum!". Uhm. Yeah. What can I say about that!?!?!? I can protest my innocence (like I wouldn't if I was scum? Yeah right). Or I can try and find alternatives (then it's "Look, the lynch derailed, GET HIM!").

It's just...it honestly frustrates me. All styles of it. I know some of them are necessary, but when it is about my personal play style it pisses me off. Why? Because I play that way whether scum or inno. Dkt pointed it out during the Memes game spoilers: there's a subtle difference, which you can sometimes pick up on, but otherwise people just lynch me for no reason other than that I'm playing as I always play. In the Memes game, no-one had the balls to come out and say I was doing that, and look, me and my partner cruised to victory, hauling the thread around by the nose (accompanied by some very poor play from town, mind you). After that game, it seems like EVERY SINGLE TIME people now call me on it. Which is just bullshit.

What I need is a M&P game to play, to see if it's just a factions thing (as, in factions, it's pretty likely that I AM scum no matter what, in some way, shape or form, lol).

Anyway. Don't get me started, dammit. :)

hehe I agree with you. It is impossible to defend, because what do you say to that argument? It's like fighting with a 5 year old, pointless.

I second the M&P, as I noted after PB died. I think it would be nice to get some actual cases going, etc.

i've been giving you flak about it in that other altless game, too. I think it was one of the Rot3K games.

the one where HQMB was lynched but didn't die.

I flat out said, YOU WERE PLAYING LIKE GODDAMN SCUM

but nooooooo....

and another thing: n00b hate.

when I first started playing, I was a symp in my first game.

I low-posted, did a whole lotta nothing and saw my masters bring in the victory, throwing scummy votes here and there.
I didn't get properly lynched till my 4th game, where I fell for JA's mind games on Day 1, and revealed I had a leader (it was my first merc game)

nowadays, it seems you can't be a noob wthout getting lynched for it.

Oh yeah, I get it all the time. It just never used to get me lynched (prime, recent example: Culling of the Memes). That, and it used to be an actual argument (as you say: Hey, this guy is playing like scum!), to which I can respond, quite reasonably, with "No I'm not", especially if you elaborate with quotes of scum-like postings.

If you use it, in it's 'pure' form: "He's playing smooth", and provide no posts, and are in fact merely using it as a vehicle to convey the fact that I am scum (and you KNOW this to be true) without screwing yourself over, I take offense. :p

Haha, this. I got called for playing like a noob in mafia 14, but not lynched outright for it, ever. These days, it's called "playing the noob card", and whether you are a n00b or not, it's bad, apparently. Asking what OMGUS means? Lynch. Don't know about WIFOM? (And when was the last time so real, proper WIFOM got thrown around? O.o) Lynch. Post poorly thought out strategies? Lynch.

We could at least give some leniency to new players. Or at least, not come down HARD on them, and just react reasonably. The weirdest thing about it, for me, is that it IS quite a nice way to get rid of people early. Guilty of it myself, think I pulled something like that in Warhammer (against Vengy, of all people...yes, he is on sabbatical because of this lynch) to get rid of folk and divert attention. XD

And yes, he is. He asked to be put down via PM, hence not in the sign-ups. :p

From Silchas

Silchas Ruin, on 05 November 2010 - 05:41 AM, said:

thers 9 players left, if a voting block is half the vote, then do i really want a lynch today?

im pretty sure that mockra is a leader due to the fact he survived 2 hits, as he isnt galain, he isnt my leader so killing him will take out an enemy player, if we go on the assumption theres 4 eaters, then we have won with 4 out of 8, unless the follower of darkness was on the eater faction we havent lost a guy yet

i think its more likely that theres only 3 eaters so i need to get the numbers down too 6, which might be tough as i expect to be assasinated tonight,

Yup, he's got a handle of the game, and going for WCS in terms of team numbers, even though he doesn't actually need to this time. He's got one poison token, though, so he's right about maybe dieing tonight.

Hah, go get some sleep, or something. XD

Personally I hope he survives. If he does, the Eaters will be doing very, very well!
