So have we come down on the side of confirming the date as the11th then? The general consensus would appear to be going in that direction. And some of our contingent do need to make travel and accomodation plans, after all...

Right then:

The 11th is now confirmed as the date of the, what 5th or 6th annual Merry Manky Meet Up?

Let's start getting some confirmation of what is going down and who is comming.

Last year was a little hit and miss, the Christmas market turned out to be a woefully ill judged idea, so apologies for that.

Assuming we want to end up in Fab Cafe by around 8pm at the latest, the central issue remains food and where to get it. I think the Athaneum has worked quite well in the past so that's one option, we hit the Slug and Lettuce on year, but that can be a little busy.

So what we need is:

A place to muster, a wapontak if you like that is easy to find. I know we've used Kro Piccadilly in the past, and it is fine, but it's a bit shit after more than a couple of hours.

A place to go to for a bit in the afternoon, preferably somewhere large enough that we can get seats and eat when we feel like it.

Suggestions.

Pretty sure I can make the 11th (there is an ever dimishing chance I may be in California but I'm keeping my fingers crossed). I might travel up on the Friday afternoon if anyone wants to do owt on Friday night. This time, I'm SURE I won't be dying on the Sunday. I'm sure of it!! I do have self control. I do I do I do I do I do.

So, if I end up going (fingers crossed) I'll probably take the train up from cambridge with Bill and Hazel. I can't afford an hotel room I think, so if there's anyone with a couch available for Saturday night I'd be grateful.

How can you not afford a hotel room? Norway could buy and sell the UK twice over with spare change from the back of the couch. I think you just want to spend quality floor time with Toby again. :)
