It's pretty neat, aye! Even though it makes little 'sense', but to hell with that.
Cata is looking very nice. It's basically the reason I've been still playing for the past several months - keeping a spot in a guild that will let me raid properly once the new expansion comes around.
It's the biggest piece of work they've done yet. We'll see how it goes, but it's mind blowing to think how much they've learned and improved over the past 6 years.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to play at the moment; especially irritating as I have a guild that I'm not active in, though I have people to cover for me and they know I'm not just ditching them. Haven't been on since the patch though so I haven't been able to try out all the new talents and stuff.

Well, the pala set supposedly has some cool particle effects that aren't captured in the screenshot.
Personally I don't mind the shammy set, though tbh it looks more like it was a hunter set.
We'll see I guess.
Also, pity that my guild is Alliance. I really want to back Garrosh, he's awesome! And kill Varian, the fucker.

What class do you play? I'm a paladin, hence my dismay at having the gear set that we do (though I had forgotten about the cool effect). having said that the hunter set is a bit odd but the warlock, mage and priest sets are awesome.
Basically the casters get the best looking gear, I think.
I have a couple of Horde (or whored, as I prefer) characters (not 80) but I hardly play them -- I generally stick with Alliance.

Resto Shammy right now. I've been playing the shammy for the most part of my time with this game. Resto in vanilla (doh), enhancement in TBC, then a DK tank for a large part of WotLK, then back to shammy as a healer (got packed straight into ICC after reaching 80, now I'm the 2nd gearscore shammy on the server, nice).
The priest set looks wicked, I also like the warrior one (they always get the best, dammit!). It has to be said that yet again they've punched the polygon count up considerably. I really pity anyone with an old PC.

I've had a few ICC runs with the guild when I've been able to get on (the problem with not being able to play is that everyone creeps ahead of you) but we're really a social guild and only do casual raiding -- nothing serious so...
However, I'm looking forward to the whole guild progression thing in Cata; hopefully we'll get in on the raids quickly and keep up with what everyone else is doing (though I don't want a full on raiding guild -- too much effort, and we're happy as we are). Looking forward to the rewards though -- guild mount is cool and the extra money from loot to go to the guild bank is exciting -- there's a list of all the guild progression rewards on that site somewhere, btw.

I avoid that as we don't actually have much in the bank and I use the excuse that we're only casual raiders and we don't have enough to fund everyones repairs when we do raid, to justify it.

We've got a 200g repair budget for Core Raiders on raid nights (3 nights a week). We usually go through most of that on a progress night (LK25 heroic right now).

Armoury seems to be playing up a bit, but last I knew we had about 2670g in the bank and that was it. People add to it from time to time. Problem is, we (sort of) want to use it but there's not really enough because once we start using it, it'll just disappear. Most people are happy with it being saved up though.

Blizz has a keen way of making WoW look waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cooler than it is in those cinematics.
But good on them to include stuff like flying mounts in vanilla azeroth and filling in the previous under construction territories with new content.
Did they revisit outland and/or northrend in the new expansion? It would be good for them to add content across the board to avoid having so many deserted areas.

Well, people will still have to visit Outland and Northrend when leveling to 85. They do have plans to update quest content in these areas to reflect world changes, however it won't be NEARLY as cataclysmic as what happened to the Old World.

I read about it awhile back. They are seriousy fucking up some of the Azeroth areas like Barrens and Ferelas right? And by fucking up I mean completely demolishing them and making them into new content areas....
It would be fun to reactivate my account just to go in and fly around to see what they've done with the place.
EDIT Have they said how they're going to handle people that haven't purchased cataclysm? Will they be able to access those areas? Elsewise how would you do 1-60 leveling without some of the key levling zones?

Everyone will have to download a fairly epic patch (4.0.3) shortly before the expansion is released. The 'old world' changes are made available at this point and anyone with a vanilla WoW account can play the new changed Azeroth zones. The original versions of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms cease to exist at this point.
Actually buying cataclysm gives you level 81-85, the new zones for levelling those in, access to Worgen and Goblins, the ability to fly in Azeroth (although that might just require BC) and the new profession.

Yeah, change comes to everyone.
And CF, it's more that just a few zone changes. They're completely re-writing all of the old world content. All of it. It's by MILES the biggest thing they've ever done.
