Help
Either Orgrimmar or Stormwind has these job boards with travel quests for both Hyjal and Vashj'ir. Just pick the one that's less tree-huggy and more war-like, head to the indicated dock, board the relevant ship once it arrives and enjoy.

I didn't take a week off. I took an all-nighter and went to work anyway. Though I guess I'm gonna sleep today. I'm not built for this kind of endurance runs.
All in all, the leveling is WAAAY too fast for my liking. It doesn't feel like the levels are more than in previous expansions (though my haste and crit are dropping rapidly).
And yeah, I'd take a week off tbh... but tbh nobody would keep up to date with stuff I do at work, and it'd all be on my ass once I come back, tenfold.
I really should force that raise.

I think you should have a raise too. tell them I said so.
I got another half hour in last night also. So all in all ive spent about an hour on the new expansion. so as you can guess im still level 80, still have my pre cata gear and still havnt even made it to the dungeons yet.
I did manage to get to the Black rock new dungeon entrance. So im now eligible for that. I also Got to Vashjir. So ill be able to find that entrance too soon. I have to say I like the whole entrance into that realm. The big squid thing and some dude coming over to save me from a randy merman.
Ive not even looked into getting my professions up to illustrious.
Ive only started one or 2 quests but not even finished them. So to me the whole levelling thing is mighty slow. It is funny how its only another 5 levels this time out. I know it progressively gets harder to level but for such a big climax and effort involved 5 levels will soon be reached by many.
Im pretty sure there were already some level 85's on my realm yesterday morning. They must of not bothered with sleep at all.

Got a few 85s in my guild too. Sadly, I'll have to be satisfied with lagging along in the weekend.
Replaced my first item yesterday with a green from the first batch of quests in Deepholm.

Even after you hit 85, you need to get more gear from normal instances before you can go into heroics, they are locked by item level now.

Which is a good thing in a way. Nothing worse then being in a group and someone either doesnt pull their weight because they cant or just legs it because they cant. At least this way you can steadily build up to the required

Except I'm afraid. Looks like we will have 5 guildies on tonight at 85 who are ready for heroics. PUGing for a first heroic when no-one outgears it is bad, mmkay.
