Should your life be threatened at night, you will attempt to kill your attacker. This may result in your identity being revealed to your attacker, or a member of their faction. You can only be forced out of the game through a successful lynch. Your recruit will not have this ability.

That's pretty blatant. But, it also takes reading a couple times to realize that being attacked at night solely refers to the Mistborn, as he is immune to Coin-shots vigs, etc. Something he'll have to discover. If you come into the game with knowledge of the universe, you'd assume SI's are just straight bad-ass, he might not realize how powerful they are.

I didn't want to give away that only mistborn can out him, so I made it a bit vague. The fact that his own actions won't reveal him is pretty clear though.

:p

he is still plenty powerful, even if he is being very conservative with his role.

I wonder how long it will take people to realise 1) There are multiple FMs 2) Half the roles aren't in the game and 3) which roles are missing.

I think Liosan needs to take a closer look at the mechanics. He won't be able to spot a mistborn unless they drop their copper to use bronze, in which case he will pretty much be told they are mistborn. So using a find multiple times on one person is a bit of a waste.

Liosan, on 20 October 2010 - 09:46 AM, said:

Third action, before I go to bed for the night...

Use Bronze on Shadow

Which I will, of course, have to do tomorrow night as well, joy!

Might have to start taking more risks, though. Otherwise this is going to be a long, slow game...

Mind you, with...21?...hours left in the day, I will have plenty of time to scout out my opponents to see if I can spot an obvious kill. :p

G'night, dear mods...

Good night, your provisional is noted.

so one shot vig.....damn...cant waste it

Well technically you can, but yes, it would not be a good idea :p

Night actions are shaping up nicely. Already actions in on two power roles, won't mean anything now, but maybe one or two people will figure out why their actions failed.

PB and HD, if you do end up resolving a night without me here, please make sure to send everyone how many pieces of metal they have with their results. It should help us properly keep track of what is going on.

Does your role PM explicitly state that you can send a message to Galain?

Points for pushing your luck, but no.

Mockra paid attention to the role PMs

Mockra, on 20 October 2010 - 11:49 AM, said:

Already tried that...stupid store was out of gum.

From the op it seems as though everyone knows who there mistborn's are. So getting a mistborn lynched should be next to impossible unless the other factions team up against one.

What happens if my mistborn is killed.

Can I go rogue and become a Ronin selling my sword to the highest bidder. :p

You play for the success of your House, you can still come out on top and secure the contract for the Atium mines even if you don't have a mistborn.

Okay, Bent quickly edited. So, let it go. They are all over Steel Silencer early, though. That's great intuition right now.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

No problems. What your thoughts on the game so far?

One guy with a hunch is not exactly all over, but yeah, it does look like he is pinging one or two people early on.

I see they twigged onto the fact that there are more roles than players, I wonder if anyone will pick up that I said there would be balanced factions. I did say that somewhere right?

What is the CF situation for the game, alt? I can't see any ruling.

You guys should try to copy-paste more of the PMs..

Shin wants to repay Bent for last game's early exit. Sadly, Bent is not killed so easily. Also, his suspect, Bent, is the Kandra on his own team. Hopefully he doesn't use his own vig so carelessly.

And remember to share!

I have a nice piece of steel that I'd like to share with Mr. Bent.

Funny thing is, Bent's probably one of my favorite mafia players, if not the favorite. We've even been partnered a few times.

But oh oh oh, he ruined the last game for me. There are some things which have to be repaid.

Vengey wants a bigger role :)

Well that is bullshit. I feel that as an experienced Mafia player (see old :p ) I can both mod and play at the same time.

Tsk tsk tsk, Shin didn't learn his own lesson very well.

I'm probably wrong.

I blame drunkenness.

Swallow some steel and kill Serc.

Let him tornado his way into Hood's embrace.

I found a missed question.

Hmm, can you tell me if I can block an inquisitor? All it says is that he will stop any attempts on his life, so I'm going to assume I can still block his ass.

I stated in thread that it is faction only.

I will let you drive PS for now, my internet is probably going to slow to a crawl within the next hour or two anyway.

I just saw the clarification, thanks.

Crosspost with the questions.

We decided earlier that pewter cannot stop the mistborn or the inquisition. That still leaves 14 other people that each can guard. Hopefully they realise their roles are going to be much more useful late game than early game.

I'm loving the mechanic discussion at the moment :)

From the PMs, Kudos to Vengey (Mockra) for his early deduction, very smart.

From the thread, kudos to MTS (Merrid) for this brilliant gem:

Hmm, well in that case is there much use about speculating about role composition in teams? If there's one Inquisition it means the teams round out at 6 apiece, and there's 9 different House roles from memory (that we know about) - the Mistborns plus the 8 different types of allomancers.

Also, I'm amused by Breadmaster playing up the Fener alt.

Also, the provisional section of the manager isn't really built to handle a multi-provisional game like this, so please just edit all the actions into the first post here. I will go through the resolution each time a batch comes in. Standard guard, then finds then kills order.

Yeah, we let that one slip through the cracks a little. Otherwise we handwave the canon and let the guards go through on everyone, we just need to make a decision by the end of the day today so that it is consistent the whole way through the game.

I'm really interested to see how this is going to play out. SI can be unlynchable before 50% due to being able to burn Zinc and Brass. Only the Mistborn can 'counter' that by burning those metals, too.

Also, sorry about not updating the first post, just forgot in my haste to post everything. Shin is fairly lucky that the Kandra is actually pretty weak for the faction. It's a FM but really can't do anything other than try to dupe people and vote.
