Silencer I agree with what you say I think our difference of opinion comes from a different preference for our primary game tyoe. I like firefight. I constantly need three weapon types, anti shield, anti head and anti tank but I can only hold two. It can be very tricky to heashot a wraith.

Otherwise I want to ask about credits. I have been playing some campaign again and firefigh and only get 50 credits a time for finishing the match. My friend who plays with me gets thousands of credits at a time? Am I experiencing a glitch or do I need to do something special to get credits.

Legendary! How the Fuck do you manage this.

Ah, Firefight is slightly different, yes. But in that case you need to target prioritise and hit-and-run. Take out the majority of troops, then go and deal with the tank. Or do the tank first, then troops. Most Firefight variants I play don't even drop tanks very often anymore, though. :)

Credits...are you playing online? Offline FF gets you only 50cr or 60cr for finishing a game, as it is considered too easy to cheat. Playing in Firefight Matchmaking, however, will net you a buttload of creds for each game (as it takes into account kills and sprees etc).

If your friend is *actually* getting the credits, then either he is doing a vast majority of the work, or your account is wonky. I'd need more info to help further...

I have to say - in multiplayer, it seems that nobody has any clue how to use the jetpack well. Or most of the armor abilities, for that matter.

I played tribes, extensively, and I actually still prefer it to Halo, but I was sooooo psyched for the armor abilities. The jetpack is a little under-powered, thrust-wise, but you wouldn't believe how many people are completely blind to anything above them. Just cut-paste Tribes tactics and you seriously catch 90% of the players off-guard.

Current favorite is rockets + jetpack. Unstoppable ambush.

Oh. Jetpack is the weapon (ability) of choice for 90% of players in Team Arena. I can't even understand why when I keep dropping the bastards out of the sky. Sure, it's the fastest way to travel, and it puts you above other folk making headshots easier, but damn if you don't have 3 DMR's trained on you the moment you rocket up. XD

I prefer Sprint in Arena, I'll pretty much use whatever I want in any other hopper though. Sprint is just so default and useful in all situations...it makes shotguns lethal too. :p

I actually avoid Jetpack though in most gametypes. It's pretty much too limiting RE: movement, I find. It's a fixed path, and anyone who is used to sniping people who jump know why that's a bad idea, lol. Still, it's a neat little ability, and I love it in Firefight to get around, or for short hops in things that aren't Arena or Invasion. :p

Have you tried corvette? Its a tiny map and I guarentee you a tank at least once a round. If you can successfully hijack the wraith in that map I also guarentee you will slaughter alot of covenant. I really love firefight and I enjoy the ability to make custom games but I think Bungie could have done a better job in that regard.

It was couch co-op offline. I had forty more kills then my friend a higher point score and one more death then him. I got fifty credits for playing he got three thousand plus on his account. It drives me crazy. Also despite it being my game and hence my having played more than him I am a corpral and he is a sergeant. It just seems to me that something must be wonky.

Offline shouldn't give many credits. Perhaps he was signed into Live while you were not? Even so... And yes, Corvette is pretty good. A bit tight for my liking, though. The customization for Firefight is excellent! What do you think they could have done better? :)

Corvette is very tight. I find that I enjoy courtyard the most so far.

I just think so many options that could have been avaiable to firefight were just not included. You can control what enemy squads appear but not how many at once. Why cant I open a firefight match with forge and put some weapon racks around the map. Why cant you cotroll when a tank will appear or not. I just think alot of simple things could have been added ntop of what they gave.

Also for example when in campaign I had to defend Halseys bunker and their were automatic turrets backing me up I just knew this area would be a firefight map. I thought it would be quite an interesting dynamic to have the turrets to help you. Sure enough it is a firefight map but sans the turrets. So I thought I would try and put them in as a custom option. You cant.

Hrm, I do know what you mean. For example - not being able to add a Forklift in Forge. And no weapons holders as far as I've seen. No Forklift!!!!! D:< The waves thing is annoying, yeah. But I guess we have to settle with the amount they did give us, considering ODST had no customization whatsoever, lol!

Yeah what the hell is the forklift for?

One thing I do like is the new ammo lockers. Unlimited ammo for a very few select UNSC guns.
