That, my friend, is a sexy craft you built yourself there. The second texture pack looks fantastic. I think I may have tried that one some time ago, but had some difficulties with opening minecraft following its application. I'm definitely going to give it another shot though.

Nice work man. I didnt' know painterly was working with the current release of SMP. Might have to look into that again.

Sorry bout the outage. I restarted the server before I left for the weekend but apparently it didn't stick. Maybe the host maintenance ran a little longer or required a subsequent shutdown that wasn't panned. Anyway, all is up and running again now.

I fear I nicked 60% of the sand next to Sheve's private beach (diagonal tunnel leading to the sea side, right?).
I'll fill it in with sand from a bit further away next time I'm around, and my apologies until then.

It's called Dokucraft if you're interested. The photo-realistic one is worth a look too, even if you don't keep it - just to see it all with real blades of grass, leaves etc. The water looks amazing too, but it's not very practical, it's all too busy really.

The Doku texture is higher reolution than Painterly, looks great, and runs really smoothly too.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Well I expanded to a new site somewhere to the N-E of Castle CF and Jartich's pyramid in a cool valley with lots of natural caves opening into it. It is to be my farming and mining site since the land under Castle CF and Moon Spawn is largely tapped out. Seems most of the caves over this way are unexplored too, so it's a good spot to set up shop.

I know. The game could so easily be played on a console. imagine onthe kinect thing too. I don't know exactly what the motion would be to swing the picaxe but I imagine you would get very, very tired arms in a short amount of time. Also very tired legs, there is a lot of walking in MC and kinect wears you out very, very quickly.

I'm digging a tunnel. At some point I will dig up, but that point will be some ways away. I've broken into someone else's diggings once or twice, but patched the hole and dug my tunnel under theirs. Long tunnel is long :)

I need to start digging again... I seem to have run out of cobblestone. Or maybe I should just make a cobblestone factory, save me the trouble of walking.

Ha, I'm doing the exact same thing. I've been digging down two blocks, put in two TNT, set off top one... the resulting double explosion makes a big square hole (instead of random rubble).

And yes, way more fun.

Okay, I've put a chest on the top of the noob tower. It is slowly filling up with free cobblestone and I have dubbed it Box o' Rox.

Speaking of the floating tower and beginner's tools, what is the etiquette with the diamond pickaxes? If you started out taking one, are you obliged to replace it (as I have already done)? Do you just add extra ones as you find more diamonds? Or do the mod-gods spawn them?

The tunnel from the spawn point is free to use if you are heading out in that direction (since I don't recall seeing any skybridges that way). I've only got one exit so far, and it's near a fortress in a lake. Am still digging though, so expect further pop-up points, and I will eventually stake my claim somewhere on the surface -_-

EDIT: I also have a shit-tonne of redstone, which I never use. If you would like a stack or two for your projects, just PM me and I will deposit it in a box for you to pick up.

EDIT EDIT: Out of curiousity, is it just me or are there two Easts if you read the signs at the top of the floating tower?
