I am so proud of castle CF right now. Place is looking fuckin' awesome!

Enough building though. I have boostered up my main links to the skybridge (ie the canal between MS and Castle CF and the link between MS and Jim's) and it is definitely time for some serious mining. I'm so long overdue I actually ran out of coal!

Server updated and restarted today.

I also backed up the world file (as I tend to 1x per week) and Trull has it so he can make an updated world map.

I haven't seen castle c_f yet. I think I'll wait until we all get connected in the Nether in 1.6 before exploring much further.

I didn't get round to repairing all the skybridge in the end - I took an inventory full of repair materials and ran out!

That's a long link out toward HOs and Traveller's place. I'll lend a hand with it next time I'm on I gotta set up my orientation quest too.

@apt

How is the open pit mine coming?

You still gotta drill that thing all the way down to bedrock hey?I thought you were already down that far but I realized when I was there that you just went to the bottom of the ocean. Holy shitballs that's a big project. There's still like 50 blocks of depth to go.

Well. It's not supposed to be an actual strip mine/pit. It is going to be a sphere. If you've been past it today you'll have seen that I am 33% done with the glass dome. When that is done I am hollowing out a bowl that echoes the shape of the dome above. Making it a big empty sphere. Inside I am going to have a floating temple thingy. I think I am going to have the glass dome covered with either water or lava. Inside I am going to have water and/or lava falling from the ceiling.

Don't have time to play right now so my tower continues to just sit there all by itself. Tried putting a roof on it last time i was on but it is apparently too tall cause it wouldn't let me place the last layer of blocks at the very top...

I'll probably put some time into the game today.
I seem to have cut myself in the hand with my building plans and my location, as I need huge sand deposits. I guess I'll be building my first railway soon.

Is the encircled sand area claimed already by anyone? If not, I'll probably turn it into a grove for my sandstone curtain wall.

My sphere isn't that big. But the maze I want to build will be big.

Ya know, there's probably room enough to replace the azath forest with a labyrinth if you were so inclined. That would be a very cool looking feature.

It would be really neat to fill it with courtyards and ruins and neato points of interest here and there too.

I will definitely help you out with building it if you want.

Hmmm. Still not sure if that is big enough. But surrounding the Azath with a maze sounds like fun.

the server is being a little bitch for some reason.

I have however removed all the boosters I had installed. Just over a double chest full of minecarts have been removed.

I'm just doing a full server reboot now.

There's a very good possibility the 1.5 patch is causing some of the issues. It only really started cropping up again after the new stuff was added.

I'm going to try upping the RAM allocated to the game and see if it helps. Might need to buy more bandwidth eventually.

EDIT - OK done. Running at 2GB ram now to see if that helps.

Please let me know if you see any improvement in lag.

Also thanks for removing those minecarts. I'm gonna break into Sheve's and do the same...I think he's got quite a few sitting around down there.

If you need something to do with the mine carts, you could put em in chests up on the skybridge for general use by players as we build the rail extensions.

Sorry for the delay. I swear, everything that could have gone wrong did, but I finally managed to (somehow) get this damned map uploaded. Spoilered because it's big (that's what she said?...wait...)

Wow a lot of progress all across the map and people are really branching out.

Nice to see the difference my recent work on the dome has done. The glass walls are growing nicely. I think I might have time to finish the last of the dome today. Only need 20 more layers.

Looks like there are a few new projects up from when I last checked. The area between apt and Drek, the tower, the DOME!

Yeah,

Somebody needs to set Ygatan back on fire. I put down a couple chests full of netherrack for just that purpose in one of the inner keep's buildings.

Nice projects all over though. What's the 2 parallel lines NW of the Azath. Is that the sandstone thing Tapper was talking bout?

Also, was out to Drek's place and her roomie's yesterday. Looks good out there. Super excessive huge projects are sweet and your dome is looking awesome apt. Putting water over top is really going to darken things up in there. I gotta say, it loooks pretty sweet as a giant snowglobe anyway.

We gotta get drek's on the rail system too. I've been hoooking up a few places but ran out of gold for booster tracks after finishing the branch out to the dome. Using the 1-booster-every-30-regular-tracks ratio works great. The link from apt's tower to the dome took about 15 booster pieces...to give you an idea of how many you'd need. Probably a stack or so to connect yourself back to Kanubis' new place and then back to the dome area.

You guys got some gold to donate to that cause?
