Azath room looks totally sweet. I mined out a corner and filled in a good portion of roof this morning.

And put a grand staircase to the downstairs.

Looking good

Hmm, Have you tried making a thread about it on the Minecraft forums? Its sad that you're not here with us.

Don't know how far Jim has come with the Cartagropher pictures.

We're currently laying out the water traps in the Azath basement.

It's not minecraft, it's my dodgy internet connection that's the problem, possibly because I'm on a wireless network. I often have this trouble when trying to do this kind of thing.

*Slow, wave-like hand gesture*

I can play Minecraft on the multiplayer server without losing internet connection.

I'm unsure what I can do to my mountain now. It's sort of.. well, the top is more or less done. I guess I'll expand my fields, but I need some sort of inspiration.

The front palisade of moons spawn has begun.

I'm a make it hollow too so I can have a floating castle in the middle of it.

Had to take a creative break. Making mountains look realistic is tough.

Uses a lot of stone too. Does anybody running MP have oodles of coal they don't need? I need to cook up a lot more cobblestone to finish this thing.

You should switch from coal to wood.

Just plant a grove of trees next to your build. Every few days harvest the trees and plant the seedlings they drop. That's what I do.

Okay, Hidden asked for some instructions on what to do next with the Azath project:

If you look at this image:

http://i.imgur.com/4u0dD.jpg

You can see what part of the canal system we have dug out so far indicated with a blue line.

I think it will be hard to describe how to dig out the remaining channels, the easiest way to figure it out would probably be to examine what we've already dug out.

What you may notice if you go through the channels is that I've lain down half stones. The reason for this is that I want the descent towards the central hole to be more shallow since that will decrease the distance between the Drowning pool and the far edges of the system.

If you don't feel like toying with the channel system we also need to get going with the Azath tower itself. If somebody has some ideas for what it should look like and how it should function please chip in,

I imagine that it would look like a big thick tower structure from which a huge tree crown stretches into the sky. I don't know how far there is to the upper limit from the Azaths bottom but Imagine the tower might be some 20-25 blocks high and the tree coming out of it would be another 25-30 blocks high. With a huge crown that stretches out over the grounds.

The grounds themselves should have holes in them for people to fall in, but also bumps, half buried old masonry, etc.

Morgoth talked about building it like a couple of twin Jaghut towers, where one houses the Azath and the other has crumbled and fallen to the side. I quite like that imagery.

HAHA! Are you having your Azath as the mob-trap? How...appropriate.

Materials is going to be a big factor in how it looks too. I would consider going all dirt+wood, planks don't generally look organic enough for an azath.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

I agree. I was thinking cobble stone and raw wood all the way through.

Why don't we plant several trees on the spot we want the Azath house? By cultivating them a little we can make a collection of giant trees from which the azath can be a part of. So, cobblestone, wood and actual living trees.
