Shut up you, this is the Malazan Forum, not the LotRs forum. I bite my thumb at you and your monstrous hand.

Do you bite your thumb at me sir?

I do bite my thumb, sir.

No 'tis not so deep as a well, nor so wide as a church door; but 'tis enough, 'twill serve. Ask for me tomorrow and you shall find me a grave man. I am peppered, I warrant, for this world. A plague on both your houses! 'Zounds, a dog, a rat, a mouse, to scratch a man to death! A braggart, a rogue, a villain, that fights by the book of arithmetic! Why the devil came you between us? I was hurt under your arm.

I'm afraid I don't know how that dialogue goes. ;)

And on that note:

Good night good night. Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say 'Good night' till it be morrow.

the stairs from the glass roof go up to a big floating terrace where I grow (and burn) trees:
Attached File  terrace.jpg (669.9K)
Number of downloads: 0

The main stairs also connect to my elevated railway which is still under construction, which leads to other islands and my primary mineshaft. Here's the skylane from my home base:
Attached File  skylanehomeside.jpg (610.83K)
Number of downloads: 0

and here's some fuller views of it:
Attached File  skylanefull.jpg (613.79K)
Number of downloads: 0
Attached File  skylanefar.jpg (602.78K)
Number of downloads: 0

Here's the little installation around my primary mineshaft:
Attached File  mineshaftoutside.jpg (600.32K)

and a view of my home base from the top of it:

Here's a view down into the mineshaft:
Attached File  mineshaftdown.jpg (739.06K)
Number of downloads: 0

and here's how you get down:
Attached File  mineshaftfalling.jpg (466.14K)
Number of downloads: 0

hopefully you land in the pool:
Attached File  mineshaftlanding.jpg (225.65K)
Number of downloads: 0

I put up a glass floor over the carved out bedrock, I think it looks funky:
Attached File  mineshaftbottom.jpg (543.06K)
Number of downloads: 0

The view back upwards. Haven't taken down the ladders since I made the water elevator but it'll happen eventually:
Attached File  mineshaftupwards.jpg (522.16K)
Number of downloads: 0

Tunnels from the mineshaft outwards, found lots of redstone but not a lot of diamonds, iron or gold and no lava or caves yet:
Attached File  mineshafttunnel.jpg (371.84K)
Number of downloads: 0

Gaps in the bedrock:
Attached File  bottomholes.jpg (355.2K)
Number of downloads: 0

And the view back upwards when you jump through them:
Attached File  bottomunderside.jpg (154.38K)
Number of downloads: 0

And lastly, just for Apt, the results of about 30 minutes work on my part today (seriously, my map has tons of clay for some reason):

Wow you've been a busy bee, D'rek.

Interesting set up. You seeem to be building a lot out of the open where as most of my settlement is situated inside a hill. Different building philosophies I guess.

I still can't fully accept that I lost all the reeds and brick I gathered.

Instead I'm digging up enormous quantities of iron
