So exploring the ocean, out from that portal by the first Nether Fort, and found this:

Think there would be an ocean floor defect, but no. Ocean floor is flat. So I dig down a bit (3 cubes) and find this:

Update: We now have villagers. Please feel free to add village homes, improve the boxy houses that are already there, add doors, and generally grow the new village.


Zombie villagers can be converted to normal villagers when hit by a splash potion of weakness followed by a golden apple. They take 3 minutes to convert and as a result, if converted near dawn, need to be shaded until the transformation is complete.

Currently, looks like the village has about 3 farmers, 1 butcher, 2 priests, 2 librarians, and 1 blacksmith. One of the priests is selling potions of experience and eyes of ender.

I'll try and get some more houses in tomorrow or Tuesday - doing stuff on a laptop is just painful so will wait till I'm back at my good old desktop.
