Well the trailer doesn't really show any gameplay or anything yet. But Bioware hasn't let me down so far. But I admit.. I don't look forward to abandoning my Grey Warden(s). But I'm really looking forward to this game and it's good to finally get a release date. Now lets just hope they keep it for ALL platforms involved. (Since us PC users tends to not get things on time *cough*ubisoft*cough*assassins creed*cough*)

But the video still looks great, and I'd recommend to go to dragonage.com and downlaoding the HD one... much better quality.

Bioware loves the awesome cinematic trailers (The Old Republic's being among the best). And I love them too, this one looks great as well.

I'm still buying all the DLC for DA:O, even though waiting for a GotY edition would have been great... and saved me a lot of money hehe. Definitely looking forward to a new, more than 30 minutes - 1 hour long adventure.

Still haven't played the first one. Something about the generic fantasy setting was just off putting to me. But seeing as it is Bioware I will probably have to look into it when it eventually goes further down in price.

Apt, it may be a generic fantasy setting, but Bioware still pulls it off. And I honestly really like the lack of completely good o evil acts and more various shades of grey.

Ahh there's finally good games again, life is good! (Only been like 5 in the last 10 years I've even considered spending money on...)

Only 5? Is there like some small niche of gaming you are addicted to? Do you just hate all the genres of videogaming?

I'm pretty much with ya there on that, in there being so few truly amazing games over the years. Never been a fan of FPS, so that automatically cuts my search in two (although Fallout 3 was kinda fun...), and being an owner of a PS3, i watched the terrific Splinter Cell series go over to exclusive Xbox. Sigh.....at least Metal Gear isn't over! Best..... series..... ever!

Well first read Seguleh's post I pretty much agree with that. (Ok I used to enjoy shooters as stress relief...), ontop of that I said "consider spending money on" I've obviously tested promising looking games, and ended up beeing dissappointed with almost all of them.. 3rd I happen to be very fond of story driven games, a game should feel like playing a book to me, that not only means it needs to have a solid story, but it needs to have a solid story that interests ME. (Or atleast can make a good enough trailer for me to think it has a good story and then make me regret buying it...)... gaming has been stuck in a long period of flashy graphics and not very (for me personally) appealing plots, hell alot of the games has just had the barest excuse of a plot just to have a reason to show of graphics.

Also I'm no fan of sports games at all, so those are out. Car games amuses me a little at Lan parties and on consoles if anyone brought one. But at the end of the day I want either a really interesting turn based strategy game (for some reason Civ never appealed to me, the games wasn't bad.. but lack of story..) or a good story driven game, preffarbly wrapped up into one. Oh and I only own a junky old ps2 outside of the PC so no, I obviously hasn't looked twice at console games in a long time. (And yes, the final fantasy games are exceptionally overrated in my opinion... story = not interesting so game = boring.)

If thats considered a small niche, then yes, I'm addicted to a small niche of games, I'll willingly admit that. (But hey I'm picky with everything from food to clothes to music to books, so why not games?)

Aww come on! Where would be the fun in that? Plus he probably didn't even know he could do it. If he did maybe there is some sort of cost to using it that he did not want to spend at the time. There are alot of reasons. Not many good ones, but alot.

Indeed. That magic did not look like white magic. There probably is a cost. If not to his soul or living essence, then maybe just his "mana pool". It's probably not the kind of trick you can pull when ever you feel like it.

For the most part it will carry on with the big picture. Your character starts out in one of the first towns to be destroyed in the first game as its being destroyed. So your character from the first game has already passed through the place before it was destroyed. He will probably have some sort of grudge against the Darkspawn that will pop up here and there along the way but for the most part this game was meant to expand the world of Dragon Age to different places. I am actually excited to see what other places are out there besides what we saw in the first game. That and Hawke just looks so badass.

With ya on most fronts. I'm a huge stealth fan, but there are really very little games out there that have been done right (and few few period, really). That Alpha Protocol has potential as a possible series, but i think it will have to be revamped a great deal to truly be considered a great game in the future. Not a fan of Eastern RPGs either, as i always hated the "taking turns" approach to combat. Sports games are fun, i do admit, but i NEVER buy them, cuz they are only fun for about two to three days, then they have run their course. MLB: The Show was kinda neat, as allowing me to develop a pitcher and get him into the bigs was nice, but after a half-season of tossing ridiculously good ball (had like a 1.25 ERA or something crazy), that got old. Basically i've been getting into the habit of finding a game and playing it to death over the last couple years. Dragonage is easily one of those series that has become a near obsession with me. Can't wait for this second entry!

Just realized thats not a dark spawn its a Qunari! Apparently Sten is unusual in that he has no horns.

The horns kinda make sense in retrospect - comparing to the visuals of Ogres
(remember that different darkspawn are created from different Broodmothers: hurlocks from human, genlocks from dwarf, shrieks from elves and ogres from qunari)
