Not a good weekend for Wolves. Only ray of sunshine was blackpool being beaten.

Sadly my crucible is tonight, as we play QPR away (and on TV). So I am wearing my shirt under my work clothes for good luck. We'll need it.

Text my mate at half time Man Utd vs West Ham, he's a Gooner...

"Bet you will be happy as it stands"

reply

"Don't trust that score, just playing with my emotions... Sure at the end of the day I will be the angry one"

And low and behold...

God I love the Premier League this year!

Man alive, I love the Champions' League :gando:

And it wasn't just a lucky win, either. Well, it was lucky, in that Ibrahimovic's goal could well have been allowed, but overall, I felt Spurs actually deserved the win. If these guys are dominating Serie A at the moment, I'm sure as hell glad I don't watch Football Italia anymore. Though I do miss James Richardson, he was funny.

Hey Brood, if you like James Richardson, you should check out the FOOTBALL WEEKLY podcast he hosts. It's quite funny. It's from the Guardian.co.uk

The podcast is awesome, and more like bi-weekly. Should be one out this afternoon.

Oh my days Rooney, just accept the two match ban and get over it.

In other news I would love to see Inter and Real drop out of the CL tonight...

Since no one is using the Euro Football thread anymore: I think Real is through (to the next round) as is Shalke. The Shalke-Inter score is quite surprising. So it seems that you get half your wish Tiste.

That 50 yard volley was sweeeeeeet.

Also, just merge this into one european football thread. Thanks to the guardian football podcast I feel I can now converse on a continental level.

Yeah that would work, especially as Chavski just got beaten at home. Oh yeah. ;)

How sweet will it be to beat Man City without Rooney, just to prove we can. ;)

Well still 7 points ahead now and Arsenal have a game in hand. Dare I start to think about trebles?

Good win for the 'Pool last night, blown Euro qualification wide open again.

Quick question for you guys - Balotelli, what's his deal? Even i could have made more of an effort last night, and I'm an overweight 30-year-old. The closest I've been to playing professional football was wheezing my way through 40-minute 5-a-side games.

I'm gutted it won't be Rooney versus Ballotelli this weekend.

That would be amazing.

The ManU stereo while seemingly fine for bass and mid-range apparently lost all of its treble on Saturday

What do you think about the furore about the Stoke Man City league game being moved about?
