Just randomly: the character 'Gullstream' has his name explained at some point, I forget when, and it's exactly what you'd think it is.

Coop does mean something. It's a small enclosure for keeping chickens. Well, it is when pronounced with one syllable (kup). Among other things.

In old English it means that (what you said, Moby), and in Celtic (irish) it means 'man' (like Puck said earlier). It confused me and I had to look that up, so I found the distinction.
