long day. this weather's not what i'd call waterpark weather. 20 degrees with wind and grey sky all day? no thank you.
but I biked home after work. took about the same hour a bus would take, but at my own pace. made me feel awesome.

DW, toss me a few glasses of my inspiration, i've got another day at work tomorrow. then on Monday I gotta start working on that file for the lawyer i'm helping.... and look @ course offerings for next year..

any idea how long the Post is gonna be on strike? I kind of need to mail my student loan documents...

Biking to and from work is always better than the bus. I love doing it myself but the weather sometimes disagrees and I'm forced onto mass transportation.
As for the lock out a special law should go into effect to force the postal workers not to strike. Though considering the governments treatment of employees in this affair they may well just go on an illegal strike anyway, who knows.
I suggest you look into a private carrier.

Haven't been in here for a while, the CONTEST has kept me distracted. SPeaking of which, all participants get free drinks for the duration.

I, on the other hand, got a day off work today. A guy I generally mildly dislike for his not so stellar competence and really bad attitude for the job took my shift.

I've spent hte day so far sleeping, and fixing my bike. my 10 year old rear tire went bust this week, and apparently Canadian tire doesn't carry 26 x 1.95 tires anymore. so, the repairs will wait untill tomorrow, I suppose.

gonna go to a specialty bike shop today, after my mom takes my dad to the hospital so he can get the verdict on his crushed index finger.

overall though, the repairs look good. fixed the transmission issue. I figure i'll have to tune it up once a week to make sure the gear shift works smoothly, but aside from that, should be fine.

new tire cost me 20 bucks, plus 10 for a new camera. ez

the tire looked smaller than my old one, but much easier to put on.
had to tinker with the brakes again--I replaced the wiring last year, and now they are hyper-sensitive, but like to lock up. not a big deal, since I mostly use the front brakes anyhow.

did some more tinkering with the transmission. Rear gear change now works nearly perfectly (cept I can't get to the smallest gear, but that's ok).

all in all, good to go for the upcoming week.

1 part Creme de Cacao
1 part Frangelico

what other tasty drinks can we make using these spirits (mixers and other basic spirits can be introduced).
