Good to see you.
A lot of work this past week?

Also, careful with that rifle, might take your eye out and I don't cover injuries that I don't incur on my patrons myself.

Mostly work. In the process of taking out load bearing walls and replacing the ones that were built incorrectly.

Plus the ole lady is home from school for Christmas break and we're working on the wedding.

And i'm trying to beat New Vegas.

I will NOT shoot my eye out.

I have retired to bed for tomorrow's Christmas, and I'm nicely toasted. My house has been like the building equivalent of Mary Poppins' handbag tonight, all of a sudden a load of relatives and 19 year old chavs turned up, what larks were had.

Merry Christmas guys, it's almost over for me, sadly. Had a blast though, we probably ate enough to feed a small African country. :)

It being the holidays, I decided to try something new and sampled a few alchies that I found. Raspberry pale ale was alright, but kind of flat. Bailey's Original Irish Cream, far too sweet.

Not exactly a promising start to the world of Inebria. :)

ugh
went to our neighbours for an xmass lunch/dinner.

far too much wine. had to sleep for several hours to get rid of the headache.

now i'm all awake (at midnight), and tomorrow i'll dare the crazed mobs of Boxing Day, to see if I can pick up some computer paraphenelia. don't really need anyhting urgently, but i'll be able to wander the stores for a while on my own (both parents working), whilst getting some stuff for them (we need a wireless receiver for the FOURTH computer in the house... don't ask why we have 4. just don't), and should be able to pick up a new gaming mouse (mine has no working wheel), new headphones, maybe a coupla cheap games...

might hit up Chapters on my way back, too...

That sounds like a successful Christmas to me. :)

As to number of computers, we've got about 7 at my parents' house. 5 laptops and 2 desktops. It's crazy.

I'm back

BEST. NEW YEAR. EVER.

Friday, the 30th

get to our hotel around 5, unpack, settle in, start drinking. drink and chill till about 1 AM (vodka/fanta mixes, shots, and so much beer...) then go for a walk down to the skiing village, having a snowball fight/wrestling match in the snow along the way. Get back, pass out around 2:30.

The next day, get up around 11sh, (no hangover whatsoever) make a sort of breakfast, and just chill all day, drinking beer with friends, while watching "Conspiracy theory" marathon, paying little attention to it and just taliking about all kinds of random stuff. round 7 PM, go to dinner, order amazing ribs, back to our hotel, trying to figure out where the hell we'll go out to, cuz every place is charging like 60 bucks to get in. Start drinking and partying again, working the DJ for the crowd., interspersing Quuen and Gunz'n'Roses and such (for the guys in the room) with old-school 90's Euro top hits (for the ladies). chill and drink till the countdown, pop the champaigne at midnight, and continue to enjoy the night til about 3AM, as more and more people pass out. Being one of the last people to do so, and waking up the next morning, with a very mild hangover, one of the mildest i've had. and having BACON and german sausages to fry up for breakfast.

Fucking A.
added icing on the cake is the fact that my parents hate this particular group of my friends, because the only times they've seen me get wasted was when I was hanging around these frineds of mine (never mind that this was only 2 out of the like 7 times that happened to me). And this time I was not only sober and presentable when I got home, I was also able to call them and wish them Happy New Year after midnight. was able to show them that I can be responsible and exercise restraint.

and now i'm back, going with my family over to see our good family friends, whom I haven't seen yet this break. and after all this, i still have another 2 days to enjoy my break.

Life is STILL good, and it can STILL only get better.

Hey SB! I'm sure he'll appreciate the kisses.

Things up North are good, cold of course and insanely busy. How about you? I've got a box of doughnuts on the bar for you. The box with the big bow beside it is for you to take home.

Ahhh doughnuts. The bane of my weight loss.

Nice, I know you've been working on the house for a while, it will be good to get it done and get out of there.

May I just say by the way, that Arian Foster was the luckiest pick up of the whole damn draft! He single handedly won you our league! I'm jealous! :harhar:Good job on winning though. If I'd put in anyone but Naanne for out meet up I would have won the match up. I was kicking myself, that's okay though. You deserved to win it all, you had a great year and I'm happy to have won the consolation match. I did put a congratulatory post in the ff thread, but I wasn't sure you'd see it in there.
