Well, the football's holding a lot of my attention, good game. Not on the scoreboard, but so much class. Always a pleasure to watch my home team play.

Shot!

EDIT - hmmm, 30 shots in 6 hours

I just want to say Alt and STD are huge champs for staying up this late! Kisses to both of you!!! Well done!

I shall gracefully decline on the kisses unless they are decidely European in nature. I wouldnt want the lovely lady who's laptop I am using to get the wrong ideas :( I would just like to note that it is almost 6am here. Tomorrow morning this time I will be waiting for the bus to pick me up for work. Not looking forward to that.

Of course they are meant in a friendly capacity! I have a fiance afterall and he's on this board. I would never want to offend lady ALT. You are a champ for staying up this late alt, seriously!

@STD Glad to hear you are liking Inifinite Jest, it's a fantastic book. I've never read another one like it.

Lady alt appreciates the sentiment. I completely missed out on the you being engaged to someone on this board thing. I thought the only Malazan couple were Centz/Shira and Loki, who are decidely low-key. Congratulations then.

Infinite Jest Is Gene Wolfe right? I've heard good things about him, have two books of his I will read as soon as there is actually light enough to read on the bus to work in the mornings.

Infinite Jest is David Foster Wallace, Gene Wolfe is Book of the New Sun, Latro and The Hedge Knight/Wizard.

The kind used on mules. They are the safest, but still not safe at all.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

haha combat shovel is a small shovel. around 3 feet with a steel reinforced handle and the shovel blade is straight and sharpened at the ends. so it can be used as a shovel or a close combat weapon.

Ok, I have the first two New Sun Books. Please excuse my drunken confusion, it is totally below the acceptable levels of this forum.

On that note I have finished my bottle of shnapps. I shall probably disappear at some point in the near future.
