Good morning Tricksters!!

Its 72 degrees in beautiful Nawlins at 8 in the morning. Which is one of the good things about living here.

The bad is in August when its 110 degrees with 100 percent humidity.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

110 degrees F = 43.3 C. Yeah, not fun that. Especially if there's humidity which makes it worse.

A brisk -22 C on this end. A good wake up walk to work it would seem.

So I'm looking around on the net for a netcast platform. My friends and I have discussed the idea of doing shows. Radio and more recently video as well. I'd like your opinions on what would be best.

-Video service (youtube/vimeo)

Or

-Blog with streaming capabilties (for live internet radio)
-Blog for podcasts
(Of the blog option, which blog platform is best and obviously free?)

It really is a big F'ing deal down here.

I have finally (after about 4 months)forced myself to go to the pool tonight.

partially this was driven by the fact that we've started a new season of intramural soccer and I feel i'm playing like absolute garbage.

for the first 500 m, I felt like I was deathly out of shape. I think I slightly messed up my left leg above the ankle.

after that, things got better, as I thnk my body forced itself to remember tnad get back into the rhythm.

nonetheless, serious resolution--I need to draft a schedule of physical activity for the week. and get the f back in shape.

I'm hoping that my back will get better so I can go back to the gym.

that was shorlived as hell.

my ankle's messed up after that swim. 2 dyas now, and it seems to not get better. Swollen and everyhting.

got an ankle brace yesterday, but I expect ti to not get better untill I stop walking.
so, not untill tomorrow after my last class.

seems like it's gonna be a quiet weekend.

god, i hate ankle injuries. they are the absolute worst.

what infuriates me the most is the fact that this wasn't an injury I got during soccer (when i'd fully expect it)

but instead when I was SWIMMING!

I can hardly believe that's even possible. and yet.

sigh.

EDIT: JESUS MOTHER F-ING CHRIST, I forgot how much this could hurt.

hobbled to work (I was supposed to call today--the once in a blue moon occasion), and just from seeing me, my manager told me to go home.

shit, it's pure dull pain., interspersed with flashes of agony, no matter how I hold it now.

DW, get me smth strong w/ painkillers. i'm gonna print my class notes for tomorrow, rig up a chair next to my bed so I can prop this foot up, and not move untill tomorrow morning.

Ment's Numbing Tumbler

-1 part vodka
-1 part blue Curacao
-1 part apple schnapps
-1 part 94% alcohol
-3 parts children's extra-strength liquid ibuprofen suspension
-2 parts Nyquil or Dayquil (acetaminophen)
-2 parts San Pellegrino
-2 crushed acetylsalicylic acid pills
-2 tbs of Voltaren gel

Rim the pint glass with the crushed acetylsalicylic acid pills.
Mix the vodka, curacao, schnapps and 94% together in tumbler with ice. Pour into the pint glass. Add the iburpofen/acetaminophen syrups and allow to slowly diffuse into the blue mix. When that is done to your satisfaction pour in the San Pellegrino and let the bubbles further mix the solution.
Finally on a long, wide tongue depressor put the 2 tbs of voltaren and put over the mouth of the glass (but not into it) and serve.

The Pellegrino is an exquisite touch. I heartily approve
