PLaying the first Uncharted game. It's cool and all, but man the combat is awkward.

Like, so bad it's not worth playing, or just a minor annoyance over all? I'm planning on going through it before I pick up the over hyped Uncharted 2.

No, it's worth playing, it's just awkward. For me, what made it awkward was how many hits some basic enemies could take. Once you get used to it, though, it's a better game. I'm currently waiting for the 2nd one to come down in price so I can grab it.

Yeah, it doesn't make the game unplayable at all, it's just...off. The cover system screws you as often as not and most people can take about 5 bullets before dropping. THe game is still a blast though, and I've heard the combat is improved in the second game which I will be playing next. Part of the problem is I have gotten used to RDR, which has an auto-lockon feature that makes gunplay super easy. I'm actually going to turn that off for my second runthrough of that game.

I had that same problem playing First Person Shooters after I got used to the VATS system in Fallout 3. You get a bit spoiled.

Ah yes, glorious vats. So cool, but bad for the reflexes.

Incredibly Star Wars video.

If the movie was anything like that I might have liked it. I actually never saw the movie, only bits and pieces, but it looks bad enough (IMO!). Posted Image

Actually, the opening of SW: E1 was almost as awesome as this. Qui Gon and Obi Wan infiltrate some evil aliens ship and tear them a new ass. Of course, they are just killing robots/droids, so that makes it okay for the kiddies to watch, but it was still very cool to see some Jedis going full out on screen compared to what they showed in the first trilogy.

Still, it seems that in the computer games and Sci-fi books, and especially that cartoon series, the Jedi's are a lot more powerful than what you see on film.

Both Uncharted games are pretty awesome and definitely worth playing.

The new Deus Ex game is still set in the Deus Ex universe, so it's not predictive of current events or anything like that... Instead it's simply a prequel to the original game. I was a huge fan of the first two, though, so I'm excited.

I just finished playing Dragon Age: Origins and really enjoyed it.

Also, Fallout 3 rules.

Ok boys and toys: Mouse advice needed.

I need something wireless, good battery life, excellent resolution, at least 5 buttons and big enough for my freakish, milk fueled monster hands.

And under $73.45, cause I'd feel like a total shit to charge a mouse on credit.

My advice would be to not get a wireless mouse. I've had a few along with the wireless keyboards back when I thought all this new wireless magic was so very cool, but in reality it just makes your mouse unreliable at the most unfavourable of times.

I'm a bit rusty on hardware now adays, but this one is apparently very good. If you can stomach the cheese, that is. Alternatively, for twice the price, you can go for a bit more class.

Is can has winner! And at that price, I can afford to order a bottle of paint and a paintbrush too, so it will look less like it belongs in the hand of a fat 17 year old virgin. Yaaaaay!

I bought this mouse about a year ago for half price and it's the best I have ever used: http://www.logitech....ce/devices/3053 .

I like this bit:

What I don't understand is why they insist on having them gaudy lights everywhere. Seriously, of the people who've actually sat down and looked for a high end gamer mouse, how many of them has been sold on the dazzling lights that it produces?

Didn't you know that gaming mice are like hypercars? They have to look ridiculous to be good.

Ok. I promise I shant mention it once more, since no one seems to care, but I did promise I would, so I must.

I just bought Shattered Horizon again (or rather, boytoi did) and there are 3 guest passes on the steam account good for 3 days of play time, starting when the download (1.2ish gigs) completes. They expire on the 6th of July.

And the game is fun. Really it is. Ignore Apt complaining about no players, cause there are. Even on the EU server I've been playing on the past few days there have been 20+players all reasonable hours, and by then, a US server or two has a full game going. Pwwwwwwwwwwwwese? :p <--look at how sad and pathetic this face is.

Specs
Minimum:
OS: Windows Vista/7 (Does not support Windows XP)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 / AMD Athlon64 X2 5600+
Memory: 2GB
Graphics: 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT / ATI Radeon HD 3870
DirectX®: 10 (Does not support DirectX 9)
Hard Drive: 1.5 GB
Sound: Windows Vista compatible sound card

Recommended:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / AMD Phenom II X4 940
Graphics: 512MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 / ATI Radeon HD 4870

I. CANT. WAIT!

You'll like this, then.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
