It's more like LINGO (or Mastermind as Apt says) than a crossword, which themselves are essentially a very stripped down game of Hangman. It's one game/word per day and you get six attempts at the word. It keeps track of a few stats (win percentage, streak length), and you can share your results for each game, but it is otherwise very minimal.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Orb, ... <light bulb>. Gonna go with orbit for today's word. Has two juicy vowels and r and t get a lot of hits.

This game came out this week. Solo dev, Brazilian.

Not sure how well it plays (there's a demo, I'll be checking it once I'm out of my current Age of Kings DE binge), but it looks quite impressive.

Just as I finally start making progress with Age of Kings DE, getting 54% achievements, they add 21 more, along with uploading a new, un-revealed DLC, pushing me back to 51%, :o

Hopefully this time Indian subcontinent will get some love, after 2 European expansions in a row. Maybe finally get an official campaign for the Persians?

Well, I guess people were waiting for Sony to answer Microsoft. This is it.

And here's me who bought the Xbox witch queen season pass bundle half a year ago.

What ever, they're not going to make an MMO like Destiny exclusive to PlayStation.

March is also going to be pretty crazy, :o

Shadow Warrior 3- March 1st. Same day as Elex 2

GhostWire Tokyo apparently is coming on March 24th

My faith in Shadow Warrior has yet to be restored after the second game. I'm hoping it returns to form and focuses more on a silly but gruesome action narrative, with the buddy cop relationship between Wang and the Mask.

Dying Light 2 is getting a somewhat mixed reception, sitting around 76 on Open Critic:

https://opencritic.c...y-human/reviews

Seems like the main story and the protagonist isn't great and there's a ton of bugs. Actual gameplay and the open world seems to be getting praise though.

I'll give the game a few months to get patched and updated before I consider buying it.

PC version seems to be the one with less bugs, has higher scores.

zombies aren't really my thing though.

Ghostwire Tokyo gameplay looks cool, but I still don't get how the controls for chaining the different spells would actually work. That's a "wait for reviews" title. Or maybe a sale, since Deathloop is already like 60% off-kilter and I bought it, because I was kinda hammered and feeling maudlin.

I feel very lethargic these days due to the weather, so it's good I can skip all the Feb releases and keep vegging out on AoK DE until Elden Ring is out.

I'm probably going to wait due to the bugs.

According to reviews, the decisions you make impacting the game that were teased in early demos are over hyped, and the story overall has been received with a 'meh' reaction (I guess it falls into that situation where it hurries up as you near the end). It's a shame because Dying Light was aces all around, imo. I thought the story was excellent, and I thought it did a really great job with the variety of side quests outside the main story. They kept you immersed in the game and didn't feel at all like you were doing these quests to just get exp. pt. to level up or to acquire resources for crafting. I read the side quests in Dying Light 2 keep to this level of quality, so that's encouraging. The big plus I've been getting from the reviews is Dying Light 2 as a sandbox, for parkouring around, is supposed to be quite the fun experience.

Not for me. I don't have the patience or passion to fight the same rooms and levels again and again. Teenage me would probably had loved the concept.

I hear mixed things. And it's an EGS exclusive right now, which isn't a dealbreaker per se, but... I'm way too deep into my Age of Empires binge right now to just add another high-profile title to the backlog. :o

Nothing really on my radar until March. I already grabbed a pre-order key for Elden Ring, and I think I might grab Elex II, purely to support the Devs.

There could be a ton of indie stuff on my wishlist releasing in March, including loads of games I played demos of; so that's exciting (but potentially expensive).

Awesome. Looks like it's coming this year, Junevember. So that's pretty sweet.

Elden Ring or HFW... or neither?

Both day 1 purchases a few years back. They both look awesome and I haven't missed a souls game yet - but I kind of feel like I've played them already?

If I had to choose, I'd probably go with Horizon because I loved that game, and all the new stuff looks great. But then how can I miss the challenge of the latest Miyazaki?

I'm actually really, really enjoying Divity OS 2 at the moment. My wife and I play nearly every day and it just gets better. So maybe I don't actually need a new game yet, I could wait and see which appeals later on.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Destiny: Witch Queen is the way to go.

I didn't entirely love Horizon. There were aspects of the story telling I didn't enjoy and the characters/quests on the map I thought felt shallow but I am hoping the sequel improves on what they started.

I don't like the souls formula, so I'd pick Horizon over Elden Ring but I'll admit the gameplay footage from ER looks really good. I might have to try out ER just for the heck of it.

That voice acting is just terrible.

I am definitely playing this in Russian.

I'm hoping Atomic Heart lives up to the hype but I fear it will be something like We happy Few, where the presentation and trailers are amazing but the actual gameplay falls flat.
