It's a shame it's wii u only, it looks great but there's no way i'll be getting the console for that and maybe two other titles.

This new Elite: Dangerous fan trailer is pretty good.

Frontier will release the official, final release date on 22 November. And they are still 100% adamant about it launching before the end of 2014, so as of today the game is an absolute maximum of nine weeks away.

I completed Dishonoured and both DLCs in 19 hours.

Definitely get the two DLCs. The first one is so-so but the second one is really excellent. They flesh out Daud's story from the game really well.

X-Wing and TIE Fighter are being re-released later today on GoG with updated modern-PC friendly editions and include both the original versions and the 1998 special editions and all their expansions. Which is nice.

We're also getting updated versions of Sam and Max Hit the Road, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Knights of the Old Republic today. Apparently this is the start, with GoG bringing a total of 30 LucasArts games to their service in the next few months. Discounting the console-only titles and newer games that still work fine, that has to be almost all of them.

And to cap it all off, Sega are also apparently going to be releasing a PC version of Valkyria Chronicles.

Mhm, nice. If even Freespace 2 wasn't on my waiting list still, I'd take a look.

Got a couple matches in last night. Love the game so far. It's easily in an early-beta state, not an 'Alpha' like they say.

3 maps so far, just 1 game type, and it is a ton of fun. I can't decide which I like more, playing as the monster or as the healer.

Current state of the game is thus: The hunters, when together, are about level 2-2.5 of the monster. The Monster starts at level one. Monster then tries to evade/lose the hunters while it kills wildlife and feeds, gaining 'xp' and then evolving and choosing more abilities at level 2, then trying to do it again at level 3.

Hunters are trying to track the monster down and keep it in range and prevent it from evolving.

Monster can win 2 ways; kill all the heroes (they respawn every 2-3 minutes if any are down) or get to level 3 and destroy the power generator. I've won as both monster and heroes, and it feels really really balanced right now, surprisingly. I know most people are still finding their feet, but the playstyles are really cool, and its very interesting that they have included actually dangerous wildlife (to the hunters, not so much to the monster) that the monster can lead you into and make you deal with that while it escapes and different stuff.

I've almost got the Cthulu one unlocked, but the first one has the following abilities (each ability has 3 levels, each level is worth 1 point, and you get 3 points per level, so you start with 3) Rock throw (throw a giant-ass rock that is an aimed almost mortar like thing, good hunters can evade), Charge (you speed up and ram/run over hunters, or use it to get away), Fire Breath (IM A DRAGON, SUCKER!), and Leap-Slam or something. (You leap into the air and slam down doing aoe damage around you).

So far as monster the game is easiest when you evolve charge right away and use it to move around, because you can stay ahead of the hunters while feeding that way. When fighting hunters, Charge feels the weakest, but the leap-slam followed by fire breath is a good way to take down 2+ hunters very quickly, causing panic and letting you either escape (as they try to revive their teammates) or finish the others if you are strong enough. Rock Throw is a good way of making that healer move and stop healing, and I absolutely love running down a canyon, climbing the walls to where the hunters can't get up the front side, and then lob a rock down at them while they are following my tracks. It makes them move much slower in the future and lets me get further ahead.

Now, as a hunter, I love the healer. I get a sniper rifle that damages monsters armor and creates weak spots for my teammates. A Tranq gun that slows the monster to half speed (at most) and highlights it for everyone in the group. Then I get a 'heal gun' that puts out this disgusting mucus colored green beam that heals my teammates, and an aoe heal ability (that is the only way to heal myself). My most successfull games as healer I've never even pulled out the sniper. all Tranq to catch up and then healing my team and keeping him tranq'd.

The only other hunter I've played is the damage dealer, he gets a close-range lightning gun, a middle-ranged assault rifle, a 3-second arming delayed mine, and a 3 second invulnerability shield (on a 30 second CD).

The healer feels like so much more help than the damage dealer.

I've been meaning to post this a while ago, but other stuff got in the way...

Graywalkers: purgatory is a post-apocalyptic RPG that has both tech and magic, and finds humans trying to eke out survival in a world where the Apocalypse happened, an and Heaven and He'll battle over the leftovers of Eaeth.

It's the second time these guys tried the kickstarter, and this time they've hit their goal. There's about 12 h left. I encourage everyone to check it out

Blizzard's new IP looks slick as fuck. I'm glad that they were able to put assets from their cancelled Titan MMO to good use. Can definitely see the Team Fortress influence, but it looks like it's going to do a lot to set itself apart as well. Hoping I get selected for the beta next year.

The game's extremely scalable and runs well even on five-year-old graphic cards, so I don't think it's going to be an issue. STAR CITIZEN is the one that's going to be insanely demanding.

Just finished the first Witcher game. Flipping epic. Really enjoyed it. Not sure any of it will effect the second game (ala Mass Effect) and also a lot of the decisions were far more subtle. For example, without really trying I had taken sides in the war between the Scoi'atel (sp?) and Order of the Flaming Rose (apparently I chose the order) Turns out it was in the scene at the bank where that decision was made. Really loved it. Will no doubt get the second one at some point.

I never finished Witcher I - for some reason I found the game spiked in difficulty massively when you got to the swamp with those nasty buggering plant things. Plus my PC kept overheating.

I need to play Thief at some stage.

Aye, the big plants on the swamp are tough nuts... but just melt under strong style + igni with the proper talents. MELT. (strong style bonus vs targets on fire ftw)

I'll have to bear that in mind if I ever get back to it - my lappy needs a screen repair and a fan declogging before I can get back to gaming. First on the agenda will be to finish off Thief: The Metal Age. All must hear the words of Karras.

My favourite aspect of the Witcher games is that you're not the catalyst on which all things emerge from. Or, to say it differently, though Geralt is taking part in great events he is not the deciding factor.

Enjoy. Although a Poland save will net you very little, I am afraid. Am a little bit curious also if you manage to get a 1939 war. In my last few plays as UK or US, Germany didn't declare until 43 or so.
