Tomb Raider is definitely worth picking up for that price. I had a blast with the game.

Cool. Also looking at Kingdom of Amalur. Can get the core game plus both DLC for $10 off Amazon. Worth it?

I played Kingdoms of Amalur. Not really sure if it is worth recommending. It's like playing a singleplayer MMO, with the same kind of quests and exploring as you'd expect from WOW.

I played it for 20 hours or more and never really felt I was getting anywhere.

Might & Magic: Heroes VI: Shades of Darkness. The new town (dungeon!!!) is very fun to play and an interesting concept in gameplay. The new campaigns are entertaining, too. Sandro is still a magnificent bastard.

Parallel, CK2 Elder Kings mod. Unified Argonia, now I'm not sure what to do next. Nibenay and Morrowind are of much stronk, cannot into anschluss. Some island hopping to High Rock or Skyrim maybe...

I'm now juggling a few games. Morrowind when I feel like exploring awesome high fantasy, ME3 when I feel like apocalyptic story or when I want a fast paced multiplayer session, Project Reality (Battlefield 2 mod) for my more realistic war needs, The Banner Saga because I like the story (just wish they had more than one animated scene, it looks good) and now ACIV:Black Flag because the pirate's life is fun (seriously I spent more time randomly hunting down ships and taking forts than doing main mission things).

You want crazy ass realistic, ArmA II or III (haven't played) is the way to go. I wussied out of ArmA II during the tutorial, let that speak for itself.

Though, ArmA's main issue is that the controls are way more complicated than real life. And you have to remember them. It's a great milsim, but not something to play unless you're really dedicated, and don't mind holding three keys simultaneously to zero your sniper scope. It's a bit silly in that regard. XD

ARMA does sound maybe a bit too much. I like a more realistic gameplay but not when I need three hands and a spreadsheet just to stay alive for five minutes.

Well, I can't help you then. My type of FPS is rocketjumping to railgun and armor, or ASMD combos and handheld flak cannons. I like my deathmatch cheesy and unrealistic.

Oh, I'm not saying I want realism all the time. I played and loved Operation:Flashpoint, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six (though I cursed RS a lot, especially in the bug-plating-stealth-must-not-kill-anyone missions) but I've also played hours of Unreal Tournament, Quake, Counter Strike, Tribes, Halo and a bunch of others. Can't say I love one type more than the other. Depends on the mood I'm in mostly.

I think that the ones where I prefer the more realistic gameplay is the real world military stuff. CoD can be fun and I generally liked the singleplayer of MW,MW2, the WW2 ones and BlackOps2 but the multiplayer of those doesn't work for me. If I'm playing a military thing in multyplayer with other people I like it if we all get into the mood and maybe even RP it a little. That's impossible in CoD but PR gives me that. Sometimes I really want everyone treating the combat as seriously as possible (not jump, jump and grenade spam) while other times I don't. Call me weird. My gaming needs are all over the place (except sports and car games, those hold no appeal for me).

Steam is having an Ubisoft weekend. Hoping to see a 75% sale on Far Cry 3, I've been wanting to pick it up but I'm rarely willing to pay more than $10 or $20 for a game any more.

Just got into an argument with some idiot on Reddit. He wrote a review of Thief, comparing it to Aliens Colonial Marines. He based his review upon having watched a playthrough of the game on twitch. Let me just repeat that. His review is based upon watching some guy on a streaming site playing the game.

I tried to argue with the guy, tried to explain the multitude of ways that this made no sense, guy wouldn't listen.

I wish I could choke people to death through the internet.
