I bought a pair of the new Xbox Headphones. And I'm loving them.

From playing Destiny with a headset I was aware I was losing out on a big aspect of the video game sound experience by just using my TVs speakers. But I like to listen to podcasts when I play games, so I avoided headsets unless I needed to do team based multiplayer.

In comes the new Xbox headset with Bluetooth 4.2. it's able to connect to and play from two devices at once. It works perfectly.

You get so much more out of a game when your can hear every footstep, character emote and explosion with total clarity.

Playing on Xbox I am a bit jealous of the PS5 controller. I bet a year or two from now Xboxw will have tried to copy it.

Not so great reviews coming in for Biomutant. Don't think this'll be a day one purchase for me but I still want to check it out.

I watched a Conan plays segment from the Conan O'Brien show where he and actor J.B. Smoove play it. I wasn't impressed by what I saw. Granted, the whole idea of the segment is to make funny on how Conan is not knowledgeable about video games and sucks at playing them, but just watching the game play it didn't really do much for me. Conan really goes hard on making fun of the amount of, and type of dialog.

Clueless Gamer doesn't do much for me any longer.

It was fun at the start when it just felt like a segment where Conan was shown a game and he didn't know how to play. Now it's over produced and the reactions and jokes have become predictable.

Wouldn't use it as a barometer for quality.

I have my own trusted game journalist sources. I usually go by a handful. That open critic link is one of them.

The Conan plays segment was just my first time seeing actual Biomutant game play, and my initial eye ball test of what I saw was a resounding "meh".

That's the surprising thing to me about the reviews, because I think the footage looks awesome but the actual combat and sound design supposedly really underwhelms.

Yeah, I'm curious how much of the ambitious story-telling got scrapped for a Dying Light 2

Squeenix is a distribution partner on that one, so they're probably pressing Richland to get something releasable together.

Focus typically does Day 1 review embargoes.

I love the dev, but realistically, I'll be playing Biomutant for the next few months, so I don't think I'm grabbing it ( right now)

Well, shit. On a whim I ordered a new PC frome an online store, expecting to hear that the Processor and Graphics card would be available within the next 18 months. Instead I just got an order confirmation and that they expect to ship the machine Thursday.

Ended up paying around 600-800 USD more than what the machine would have cost when I was shopping around in the fall of 2020 - But it's a brand new PC with a Ryzen 5900X Processor and a Radeon RX 6800XT so it feels like I caught a unicorn.

No More Heroes 1 &2 coming to Steam Early June, same day as the Ninja Gaiden collection.

More games I won't buy until they are on a deep sale, b/c there's no KB&M support, unfortunately.

I'm interested in buying both because I heard a lot of talk about them around 2010 when I was getting into videogames again but just never had an opportunity to play them.

Don't think I'll play Ninja Gaiden on anything higher than easy.
