John Bain alias TotalBiscuit has passed away:
http://www.bbc.com/n...nology-44250597
He died of cancer, aged 33.
This really hit me. Haven't been sad about video game people kicking the bucket since Ryan Davis from Giant Bomb died.
I started watching TotalBiscuit back around 2009-2010. When he was doing the WTF series and was sort of one of the only PC and indie game centric game critics on YouTube. I really enjoyed his criticism and his wit despite not always agreeing with him or his attitude. When he started getting sick and his content output dwindled it really felt like a voice was missing from my news feed. I continued to follow him on the Co-Optional Podcast for a while but it lacked focus.
Sad day.

Aw, that is very sad. I thought he seemed to be recovering at one point?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Not so much recovering as just living with cancer while dealing with the side effects of the drugs. I saw an interview with him a while ago where he described some of the side effects. It was crazy stuff, like touching something cold could literally kill because it would make his nervous system clamp down on his respiratory system, etc.

Brutal news. Always liked his reviews, and especially his E3 "snarkathons"
He was also one of the most high-profile advocates of PC gaming, holding the industry to a high standard when it came to PC ports.
He will definitely be missed.

Total Biscuit wasn't a good person. That doesn't mean everything he said was worthless or that you're wrong for liking some of what he said. But he wasn't a good person.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

A Haunting Poem
I Scream
You Scream
We all Scream
For I Scream.
I Scream
You Scream
We all Scream
For I Scream.

@ Amph - Not a good person? What's that bases on? Please tell me this isn't the kotaku/feminism/gamergate bullshit you're dredging up.
TB was one of the few industry voices who had the balls to go against the grain and question the narrative. He didn't support any of the sides but asked some tough questions - for example the Totillo interview.
If that makes him a bad person then I don't want to be good.
... Or was it something else?
@ Ment - they'll add single player later supposedly. I am not that hyped for the future tech multiplayer but I am excited to see what COD and battlefield do with The 100 man Battle Royal modes.
PUBG and Fortnite are little league compared to the level of tech and know how I expect the two big shooter franchises could produce.

My PC died during the weekend. So basically any games that I was in the Progress of playing are now dead. Not that big of a loss, my PC was so old that I had problems running most games at medium.
But the worst thing is that I have to browse the internet on my phone now. It makes replying to posts a chore (unless I am on a Work computer ).
Good thing I bought that PS4.

With Exodus pushed back to 2019, that doesn't leave you with much... battlefield V will have the mini-campaigns again a la 1.
-but then again, there's RDR2, that'll probably have some SP content...

I have a backloqg to keep me busy for years but it's def a dissapointed about exodus though. Battlefield 1 was fun but I find battlefield the weaker of the competing franchises
Has to be some. Kind of shooter coming up

It is? I'd had hoped Bethesda would stick to that new marketing strategy where they only announce a game when it is close to ready. Like a 6 month window or something.

The official reveal said spring 2019. Which would put it in the 10 months window, which isn't bad.

Well they didn't plan to reveal Rage 2 so early but some outlet let the cat out of the bag.
"I think I've made a terrible error of judgement."
