That's off the Kotaku article the video is in. But I said "apparently" because I was too lazy to go check anywhere else :) Just figured I'd mention it for the people who watched the vid before the update.
If it is a new world, they really should change the name. Heck, make it "[insert word] Souls" so it ties in with the previous two for recognition, but isn't implying it's the direct sequel the name seems to say it is. Annoys me when they do that. Of course they may just be referring to it as Dark Souls 2 for now and have another title in the works, or you're right Morgy and Kotaku just suck at their reporting :)

Here's the quote that places such as Forbes et. al are using.

I'm pretty sure I saw a quote describing the setting as "unfamiliar", but that might have been another misquotation from retarded journalists. As far as I can tell, the quotes above are the only sentences out of the producer.

Been playing FTL these past few days. For $7.50 (gog.com) it really is quite a steal. Bags of fun for such a short game.

After 85 hours of gameplay, I've finally finished Xenoblade Chronicles. Kind of. I ended up skipping all of the optional end-game quests and other content due to the fact that my girlfriend wanted to see how the story ended, so I have a save where I'll be going back to wrap all of that up. Judging by how much stuff is left (not to mention the need to get another 20 levels to cap everyone out), I think I have another 25-30 solid hours of gameplay to complete everything. Anyway, phenomenal game; I think it's my favorite RPG of this generation. JRPG developers, take note: British voice actors rock! Stop getting these annoying whiny American kids.

Just went out and purchased The Last Story. Haven't played enough of it to judge, but so far it seems alright.

Seems like it is a ghost story mystery type of thing.

New laptop with good specs i think so ive been thinking of getting that crusader kings 2 from steam but its still 40 quid. Im curious to see what tw game i can play im hoping atleast empire which ive never played.

By good specs i mean my mates laptop that was quite old could play medieval 2 with little problem. This is brand new so may hopefully be able to play empire on low specs. Is this way off and is crusader kings also out of my league ? Just be honest with me i can take it....

Oh, no, I was being facetious. My laptop plays things like FarCry 3 on medium-high settings, lol. It's just that generally speaking the PC gaming world looks at laptops and laughs heartily at their (relative) lack of power. It's kind of an in-joke thing...

Like i said imnot very computer savvy so can barely muster pc laptop banter never mind in jokes :(

if i was to find out the specs and then write them here could you or another computer whizz tell me how my chances are on some games. It would be much appreciated

Tell us you VGA, and we'll let you know what you can handle.

As a general rule, laptops have decent CPUs, so your main snag's gonna be the video card.

Thanks ill put my vga on here when i get in and as soon as i find out what vga is.

If its new do i have a chance of playing empire tw or maybe even shogun 2. A lad can dream...

You might find the system requirements lab tool useful, it'll tell you if you can run various games.

Pretty much the only game from steam I can launch at where I'm staying lately is Crusader Kings II, and I can't even take screenshots! Well, in any case, holding three king titles right now (Poland, Denmark and Ruthenia) with lands spreading from Pereyslav to Mecklemburge and Jutland and up to Smaland and whole of Finland and Karelia... and the Golden Horde came around. They're not attacking me right now. I wonder why. Maybe because I've got like 7 links of alliance to the Kaiser, and the HRE has like 180k troops, I have 60k... mind you the HRE is huge now, having won most of Greece, Egypt and Jerusalem in crusades... Ilkhanate wtfpwnd Seljuk Persia something wicked, tho.

After playing Torchlight 2 for about eleven straight hours with some friends, I can safely say the embermage's wand passive Chaotic Partybuggery is entertaining except for randomly teleporting bosses next to players when the effect triggers, and also Elite armour scaling is complete unfun bullshit which almost but not quite ruined how fun this game is to multiplayer.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
