Well nobody is going to get lynched, I need to vote for someone (you know, cuz of the Chinese thingy), and I don't see any rule against doing it in this game:

Vote Mockra

:)

Hmm, you're not supposed to be able to do that. * speed updates post 1 *

Bahahaha, I saw no VCs like the British last game and no rule against it, so I thought it was OK!

Jerk :)

I seriously have no idea what you're referring to... are you saying there was an extra post in there before the forum crashed or are you referring to the start post that Tapper says he used as a placeholder until he had the scene written in?

Yeah fuck that guy! I seriously almost voted him. I hate that alt. It's becoming the new Fener for me. But I decided my way of deciding was much more egalitarian =D

"I didn't know they employed western bouncers here," he said, looking at the man standing opposite the wardrobe, where a girl in a miniskirt with a tiny apron, high heels and not much else was busy hanging four-figure-cost coats away. He removed his sun glasses from his hair, then put them in again, at the same time curling a little lock just above his ear.
"Neither did I," the other guy said, "I just came here to read a book."
"What's it about?"
"Science. History, to be more precise."
"Fascinating," the other murmured, his eyes resting on the tiny apron.

the second one. I thought it might be important - I never saw the post until I posted it just now.

Speaking of, I hope those two show up. Modkills would be a bummer.

All right, so now color me confused.

Given Mockra's initial assumption that the Chinese have more members than everyone else, if everyone playing laid down a vote, wouldn't that give the Chinese their victory condition?

Obviously, not everyone is going to put down a vote, but those who do, saying they're counteracting the Chinese, could just as easily be Chinese trying to get their vote in. Ideally, in the case of no lynch, it is better for no one to vote if you want to thwart the Chinese.

And @Driss: This is, like, the second post where I've mentioned the Chinese, so I'm not sure what you're on about.

I think Tapper's extending the modkill timer based upon what he posted on the temp forum.

Well it's a per-team basis, so yes, I believe the Chinese will always have the advantage here if everyone is trying to vote... but they are always going to try and vote anyway. 7 points is nothing to scoff at (and don't forget their 2 pointer is to lynch every other faction at least once). So really, the 'best' way to counteract them is to also vote and hope their team gets whittled down in size a bit. Not voting at all is just going to give them the upper hand.

My later point was that, because everyone is trying to vote, it's almost impossible to find the Chinese. The most you can do is look at the non-voters and say, "Probably less likely to be Chinese."

I had a thought about this, and can understand the tactics of it. At this point though, people aren't here who have laid down votes. For no apparent reason in many cases. Those in all probability could be Chinese, and thus you counteract by voting. It makes sense to do it today. I am open to discussing the strategy of it for the rest of the game.

Edit: Probabilities to probability; since to sense.

I said this, but no where near as eloquently.

Ok, back finally. In response, my vote was left on Kaschan because the forums went down when my vote was on him. I am just now able to post. I am gonna leave my vote as there is no lynch candidate and it does counteract the CHinese ( yeah yeah, good cover for being chinese) . I need to catch up on the last 4 pages.

At this point i don't think the remove vote is gonna happen, but i agree that is does give the Chinese a chance to vote without giving themselves away but with nine minutes left i think voting to throw the count off would still be in our best interest.
