Yes, the admins took the forum offline for 9 hours to remove one emoticon. Man those guys must be inept!

In any case, since my last post I haven't seen any reason to continue reading into the scenes. And all the 'feigned lack of comprehension' is no doubt because people don't want to be revealed as having taken an action, regardless of what it is. So far, with no reference point, we have little to go on. This needs to change, so I say we go the lynching route. It doesn't really matter who, any lynch will give us leads and direction...then again, actions are what win factions the game, whereas lynches are what win Syndicate the game. But you need to find your own faction in order to pick out who to take actions on, don't you?

First up

Quote

"I didn't know they employed western bouncers here," he said, looking at the man standing opposite the wardrobe, where a girl in a miniskirt with a tiny apron, high heels and not much else was busy hanging four-figure-cost coats away. He removed his sun glasses from his hair, then put them in again, at the same time curling a little lock just above his ear.
"Neither did I," the other guy said, "I just came here to read a book."
"What's it about?"
"Science. History, to be more precise."
"Fascinating," the other murmured, his eyes resting on the tiny apron.

As noted this seems like a lover connection being made. Obviously the second guy is either american or european. Or I suppose possibly russian.

She chased her target, cursing. The woman moved with a grace that should have belonged to her, and her equipment was as advanced as her own. Did the other know she was being followed, as she jumping from rooftop to rooftop, scaling walls? She wondered who would win a serious chase… then restrained herself. She was not here to impede the woman in any way, merely to make sure no-one was aiding her. Little chance of that happening on a rooftop… When they reached the Keio Plaza Hotel, the other suddenly scaled the walls with a vigor up to the first blue light on the side, then moving horizontal, finally entering a room through a hole in the glass that wasn't there a minute before. She froze, and clung to a wall by her fingers, aided by carbon climbing gear.

The glass cutter barely made a sound as she cut herself a way in. Suction grips slowly settled the small disc on the ground, ready to be put back. The thick glass would hold for several hours, then probably shatter the window, if she made a few subtle punctures. She rolled to the ground, into the bedroom, and from there, noticed how there was light in the sitting room of the suite, and how the toilet door was locked. Not much time, then. She sprinted to the table, saw the iMac, and a fountain pen, screwed open on the top, little wires coming out. A smile played on her lips, she had seen enough. She rolled back, and when the toilet flushed, the bedroom window appeared to be whole once more.

Obviously the girl being chased in the first scene is the same as the one breaking in in the second. What we really need to know is which way the water in the toile tswirled!

"Hello there," the heavy voice with its impeccable accent said.
"Hello," the other replied, her face unfriendly and untrusting, pulling up her cheap black scarf until it reached her chin.
"I have something you can use, I think."
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"Tomorrows news, love, tomorrows news."

Bet ya the scarf girl is european or russian - cheap scarf says it all really.

Vivaldi filled the room. Easy listening. The back of his pen ticked along with the violins, while the other hand danced over the keyboard. Tourist visa, credit cards, education papers, driving license... for a Porsche. Interesting.
Then, the last few credit card payments caught his attention. Technical stuff... "so, where were you last night, darling?" he asked. The screen provided the answer. "Now why did you need that?"

The only thing someone got last night was ninija girl #1 getting th fountain pen so perhaps this man was tracing her?

"yes ambassador, your meeting will go through as scheduled. Unfortunately, I have other business to attend - home security will inform you, I'm sure. No, tonight I will not able to attend the meeting of the Rotary Club with your wife - please tell her I'm sorry, but as you know, I have a meeting scheduled with the Chamber of Commerce... yes, the three-billion deal that needs smoothing out, indeed. I have the Blue Room booked for it, with a highly discretionary staff. Immediately afterward, I will be required in the Park Hotel - a social gathering. Yes, tomorrow I'll be at work."
She put the phone back in the Nike purse, switched the volume of her iPod to maximum, and ran on. She'd be damned if the international crisis would mess with her morning run.

Nike and the rotary club - american

She checked the file in her hand. Read it again. And again, before chucking it in a cupboard chockful with other papers. Organized chaos. "If this is true..." she whispered, "there's work to do." She turned and walked to the door, drawing her unremarkable black blouse down so that it covered the blotchy blue tattoo ending in -ina, and left, mind on the job.

For those wondering the blotchy blue tatoo says vagina and has an arrow pointing down

The pandas may be steady supply, but that doesn't mean there's enough of them!

Also, rabbits are much better at multiplying...we should switch to rabbits.
