The skinny is they admitted to long term cheating of the salary cap, so they were stripped of their 2 premiership titles, 3 minor premierships (where you finish the home and away season at the top of the table, but this is before the finals), $1.1 million in prize money (to go to the other 15 clubs), $500k in fines, stripped of all competition points this year and cannot accrue any more this year.
