These are two different failed Omtose Phellack rituals, which should alert you to the true cause.

The first ritual was Gothos pretty much freezing Death out of the entire subcontinent. That was a MASSIVE ritual, and is the one that's affecting the local oceans and seas.

The second was Ganath's? (or the one who got freed from the Azath when it died, that Bugg talked to). Her ritual froze the lake where the sea-demon was trying to get to Letheras and destroy it, the trap set by the Ceda and Mael, that she bought into.

That's the one. The Huntress.

Also Sinn is nowhere powerful enough to completely destroy Gothos ritual. Time had already started unraveling it and Sinn accelerated the process.

Hmm, hmm okay so far.
I was just confused because in RG Twilight had a whole company (company being a very loose term) of handpicked Shake soldiers under her command.
I assumed that they're with Yeddan now, although his troop doesn't seem to be that large. What made me think so is the fact that he kind of mentions that not all of his soldiers had drawn blood in the Edur invasion.

Yes, but there's no reason they couldn't have done both. We've seen ships travel through warrens more than once.

I just noticed that Corabb, beloved of the Lady, accidentally pricked himself with a needle. That's... not good, not good at all.:p

also the ritual that is holding the Sea Demon is being weakened by a combined effort of Hannag Mossag and I believe Sukul Ankhadu.
I have seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter at the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain...."

In Reaper's Gale, correct me if I'm wrong, the death freeze ritual was unravelling from age. The icebergs that were melting Sinn incinerated with barely an effort, raising the sea levels, that had the Shake mumbling the Shore wards the sea. The shore holds back teh waves of the ocean, the ocean where teh dinos have been all this time ahem millennia. The lake ritual that trapped Lochness was warming up and simply needed to be redone.
If there were no smart people others wouldn't feel inadequate.

Right?

Nope. It was definitely Sukul Ankadu and Mosag who meddled with the ice trap. Remember how at the end Mosag goes towards the lake so he can retake control of the sea demon only to be killed by the Huntress.

twas most certainly mosag and sukul who unravelled the trap. that ritual was brand new, raised with the help of ceda quru kan, mael and the huntress. not something to fade so quickly

Two kinds of ice. Sinn I thought was unravelling Gothos's original old ritual, which was weakening anyway but she gave it a yank. Hanan I-likes-to-crawl Mosag and Sukul And-I-Moo took apart the ritual everyone else is reffing, from MT when the demon was re-trapped in that bargain with Ceda, Bugg, Huntress, and we first meet Pinosel and whatsit.
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.
