Bullllllcrap. When a giant crowd of zombies is headed your way, going for precise headshots is far too slow and inaccurate. As I mentioned in the other thread, zombies still need ligaments and bones to move, even if they dont feel pain. Spray your uzi into the crowd around thigh level and sever all their femurs, you'll have a crowd of zombies that can do naught but crawl in a quarter of the time...
I believe I would have an easier time aiming for something the size of a football than an inch thick bone in a zombies thigh. Breaking their bones won't necessarily stop a zombie. There's stories of trauma victims and the drug addled walking on broken bones. A zombie won't feel pain, it might just keep walking on the limb, sure eventually that leg will fail, but will it fail fast enough if the Zombie has you in its sights?
Severed ligaments and extreme muscle damage is more likely to make the zombie crippled.
But as always, the only secure thing is damaging the brain.
Also, I'd like to point out that if you wind up in a situation where a hord of zombies is attacking you, you've already failed. Zombie survival is not about trying to battle waves of zombies. It's about making it out of the crowded cities so that you won't have to face more than a few zombies ever.
