@Hetan, yes that sounds right. Good to know the station name too.

T-minus 7 hours until my flight. So excited!

Cool! Have a great trip and see you tomorrow :)

OK, I have officially well and truly lost my voice now. Feel free to begin rejoicing. I'm sure I can work out a method of conveying 'give me the chicken' in sign language so I'll be alright, although I'm screwed if I need to ask for directions.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

If there is space in the car I will walk to the station for the 12.30 pick up. Otherwise its easy enough for me to get the bus as I think the bus stop I need is only a few minutes from where I'm staying.

FUCK

There's a very good chance that my ticket to go to Cambridge is stuck in the Royal Mail collection office because no-one at my house was in to sign for it and my brother only brought the card the postman left to my attention ninety minutes after the office closed. It opens on Saturday morning at 7am. My train from Plymouth leaves at 6:55am. I can't even pick it up and get the one after because the person who bought me the tickets said they're for specific seats and wouldn't roll over onto later trains. So that's left me without a ticket up to Cambridge tomorrow.

Before you start complaining, I AM coming, I'll just have to buy a ticket on the day. Which will be about £50 more expensive than the one my friend bought. Wasting her money and mine. The only bright spot is if it's not my letter that was missed and it gets delivered tomorrow morning, in time for me to get to the station. I really doubt that, though.

I AM FUCKING SEETHING

EDIT: New ticket booked, only £20 more expensive than before instead of £50, microscopically less infuriated.

When you think about it, it all boils down to the fact that you live in a remote, god forsaken corner of the country. Otherwise you could leave later snd pick up tickets on route. Moral of the story = don't live in hicksville.

Speaking of train arrivals though, how much is a taxi from Cambridge station to your guys' place?

I ask because I wanted to go do a few things before catching the train, such as getting a haircut, which are potentially incompatible with getting the right train or me waking up at a sensible enough time to do everything.

Also, if I decide I'll just turn up with massive hair and on time, will there be the traditional supermarket stop en route, or should we come prepared?

I'll need a supermarket run. There's no time to buy booze on the way. Stupid pre-7am train.

Well I don't plan to drink it all myself ...... I don't think. A good guest brings more than they can drink themselves to a party :)

I just spoke to Cougar, he's pretty leathered in the pub already! We can expect a grumpy cat tomorrow until he gets some hair of the dog inside him! He said he'll pick anyone up who arrives with me from Kings Cross at 12:30. So me and Macros are on the 11:45 outta Londinium.

OK, I've done my shopping, packed and re-packed the bag at least 7 times, and now I'll just do my nails, re-pack the bag once again and I'm all set to get on the plane tomorrow morning. Yay! :)

Meet us at the station Dan at 12.30. If you choose to of course. There is room.
So looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Dag, there's only you coming later - taxi? xx

I'll be at the station between 12.30 and 12.45 latest. We can stop for a supermarket run on the way back to the house.
Having a great evening already with Morgoth and Anomander... it was 32 C in the shade here today...:)

Off to bed, up at 6 to get the train. See you in Kings Cross, Cambridge Station and/or Mal and Hetan's party pad, everybody!

Yup, that's absolutely no problem, I'll just take a taxi. Should be at your place by 14:00 - 14:15. :)

Last time I paid some 20 GBP one way. Should you arrive at 13:30-13:45, we can share a taxi. Just let Hetan know and we can coordinate then - I'll be near the station at that time.

See you all in a few hours! :p
