Since Canada gets either the UK editions or US editions, not so much. Amazon.ca is just lagging behind.

I wouldn't be surprised at this date, although it will be annoying if we get four major SFF releases almost simultaneously (Lynch and Rothfuss are due at the same time, Sanderson in the UK with his Way of Kings series as well). Of course, it is Amazon, so should be treated as having the same reliability as the Titanic's ability to dodge icebergs.

Pat has contacted SE. Apparently SE should turn in the MS in mid-June, and the release date will be worked out then. This new Amazon date could be accurate, or it could still be the end of this year, or it could be something completely different. Stay tuned.

hmm just had a look on amazon uk and no date, but on an interesting note it says the book will only be 509 pages!? for the final chapter of the series this seems very short especially considering that if so i think it would make it the shortest book by SE throughout the entire series? Hopefully and most likely theyve just got it wrong

That's just a random number. Dust of Dreams was listed as 509 pages as well, but it's 912 or something. So don't worry, from looking at Erikson's latest novels I'm pretty sure TCG will be around the same page count as the latest ones.

The only catch worth mentioning is that while BookDepository will get the book, and will ship it free, amazon.uk will have it sooner if TCG is handled the same way as previous MBFs. To my utterly guesstimating non-scientific estimate which anyone is free to contradict, the difference runs at about 2 months.

I asked in store at my local Waterstones yesterday and they told me that the hardback would be released in the UK during January 2011.

I really hope that is just the publishers being very pessimistic.

Just pre-ordered The Crippled God and Stonewielder from Amazon-UK. Total is 26,98lbs or stlg or whatever for each book. 20 for the book and 6.98 for shipping. The free shipping promotion does not extend beyond United Kingdom

Hardcover. IIRC as of DoD they started delaying the tradeback for a few months until after the hardback had been out.

Not so with the UK edition at least. Bought tradeback from the store in norway the same week it was released.

Just heard about the delayed release date. Not too big of a deal, either way I'm sure I'm going to be paying 50 some dollars to get it in the US, but delays do suck. At least I know I'll be done with my reread of the series by then.

Oh, and Amazon just changed the number of pages to 848. Not sure if they're just guessing again, but that sounds about right to me.
