Well, overall i am happy with how day 1 went. Only deaths were 2 roleless inno's and we went to the reload day 1. Probably couldnt ask for a better start.

I must say, well played by Bubba. He basically guaranteed to be a NK by being the first on my train and staying there. as 1 of 4 RI in a game of 16 (?) ppl I tried to be a bit wacky and get people talking as malazan has been soooooo boring lately. Good to see it kinda worked. Plus I got my first lynch!! woo! good game so far Gem, will be interesting to see if the inno's can stand up to scum. If day/night goes bad, we could end up with 4 scum and 3 dead inno's by the start of tomorrow.

Thanks, The Dude.

Hilarious how confusing the Reload became, I worked better than I imagined. Had some luck with the alt draws for the reload - this way scum have a hard time figuring out who Neo was.

Also I managed to completely confuse the paired Agents:

D'riss:

Quote

I take it you killed Ruse?

oh and sory about my absence, I tried to log in, but the 15 pospt per page is apparently too much to handle... bah.

Spite:

Quote

Yeah, went for Ruse in the end.

Spite:

Though judging by what PS says, it actually didn't kill Ruse, it killed whoever Ruse would be after the reload. Kinda sucks for whoever inherited the dead alt, and is also irritating because it means it didn't kill who was targetted, since smiths kill/the reload went first.

Grr...

Hopefully whoever smith is has a good grasp of alt guessing, so he doesn't hit neo again.

We really need to watch out for neo.

Not sure what our attitude to smith should be. If he wins, we do aswell. To win, we have to have all crew members either dead or smithed, except neo. He will have a better grasp on neo than us, most likely. I'm wondering if it's actually smart for us to use the kill at all. The win conditions don't mention killing the town, only the crew, so we need to hit the roled players, but avoid neo which could be hard. So, I think we should be careful, make sure only to target people we're quite happy aren't neo...

Should I explain it to him? Or let him swim in the ocean of confusion? :( Mouhahaha!

If the two killers are bad at guessing they should hold the kills lol.

Did I kill the player who was ruse before the reload, or the player who was ruse afterwards?

I read it as the player who was ruse afterwards, is that right?

Yeah I answered it - I thought he would get it by himself, but no.

More Spite pm's:

Quote

Serc and barghast are both giving me wierd vibes.
Tulas shorn seems very under the radar, and Amp strikes me as non-confrontational.

Go with whatever Ment says for the provisional.

In the unlikely event he can't get on, go with a prov on Osseric, because I don't think he's neo.

This is going to sound lame since I don't have anything concrete to back it up...

...but is anyone else getting bad vibes from Gamelon? That whole conversation he had with Serc just strikes me as off.

Outside chance on someone who knows neo. That's unlikely, but the post is still odd.

Not sure I should have pushed so hard on D'riss, as his second post is more lucid than I remember. I guess we'll see. I dropped a little trail to make it look like I was symping Spite, I'm hoping people pick up on it. Although it would make more sense if I was actually voting for Spite too, then it would look like I'm Trinity...

New Smith provisional:

Olar Ethil, on 04 February 2010 - 09:25 AM, said:

Hmm, actually, I think I should change that. Seems to me that Ampelas' "Don't you find Gamelon suspicious?" could be a hint that Gamelon is Neo and Ampelas is Trinity. (Or just that Ampelas is Neo trying to do weird stuff to get him lynched). Still, in light of the first possibility, I'm going to switch my provisional.

Copy into Spite

if Spite is lynched Copy into Tulas Shorn

Paired Agent activity:

gah, I totally forgot I had a trainee follow me around all day today. ppl's first days are stressfull, so i've had ZERO free time today, i'm sorry.

i'll have to do a re-read before I toss an action in.

D, on 04 February 2010 - 06:06 AM, said:

hmmm

my prov would be

"kill Olar Ethil"

I don't see a lot of scum vibes form him, and he's proactive.

also, important note: Neo has a cookie now, so he's got 1 BP against us.

therefore, at least this night, we can go for anyone.

Well this could turn out interesting. Is the innos gonna have the best luck in a game ever?

The lovers:

Serc, on 04 February 2010 - 03:00 AM, said:

Feel free to poke holes in my defense of the Spite vote on me. Like maybe I was trying to lull Link into revealing so The agents would know who he was. I will defend well so don't be alarmed. Maybe if you vote for me we can get a train rolling on me.

I'm around...just lurking

Osseric, on 04 February 2010 - 04:50 AM, said:

okay. Trying to think up a good way to accuse you off your defence. Can't really say you want Link to reveal as you said he shouldn't.

Osseric, on 04 February 2010 - 04:51 AM, said:

thinking maybe I'll go the opposite and say you're trying to not have link reveal at all as that keeps innos blind.

Osseric, on 04 February 2010 - 04:59 AM, said:

Okay, well my accusation is done. You may want to try and leave some holes in your self-defence to me, but be sure not to make it too obvious or the scum will be on to us. Even if we don't get you lynched today, I can just immediately start another case on you tomorrow and people should hopefully get the message after a day or two. I still have my BP so I'm guaranteed here tomorrow.

Serc, on 04 February 2010 - 05:07 AM, said:

Good Job :( I think Spite may be morpeus, he may have done a find on me last night. I cant see any one but him starting a case so week on me. I will let what you posted sit until tomorrow morning to try to get some other people to jump at it.

That was disappointing, sort of. I was hoping for a longer game. Maybe the winning condition should have been slightly different. But really, that was well played by the innos.

Well played by Bubba there. Annoying to see my game as scum so short, since I feel like i've not been one in ages. Oh well.

Bubba was a stud this game, with a great assist by D'rek on the case.

This game was always going to be hard for the scum to win, IMO.

Sad it was short, but at least that means I won't be dead forever.
