Anybody know if there is such thing as a 1337 add-on for Microsoft word, like there is for other languages, so you can spellcheck your 1337?

I think it would be the geekiest awesomest thing in existence if so.

There have been several attempts, but luckily we've managed to kill those working on it before they were done.

The sad part of it all is that I understand completely what you're saying. I'm considering committing seppuku.

God, I understand it too. I feel unclean.
If you really must use 1337, there's an option for it as a language on facebook (I use pirate, myself. Arrr.).
And yes, the world is insane.

there's a pirate language on facebook?

I wonder if there is a ninja language on facebook too.

It would look like this:

I just typed a pulitzer-worthy short-story in Ninjanese, but you can't see it because the language is so stealthy.

Indeed so. It's actually pretty cool, to be honest. I like it, for the simple fact that if I'm ever accessing the net in a public place, it's harder to read pirate at a glance. I don't know if there are any other novelty languages apart from pirate or 1337, though, haven't really looked. I saw 1337 and recoiled from my monitor. :D

That's hilarious.

It might actually get me to visit facebook more than once a year...probably not, but I'm itching to check out this pirate language thing now.

And to turn on 1337 just for the hell of it.

Does it translate everything on your page to pirate or do you have to type like a pirate too?

It translates it all, but typing like a pirate is strictly mandatory optional.

I've only had to change it back from English (Pirate) once, when I wanted to know what 'A saucy wench' translated to in English (English).
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

gah...been on google for 10 minutes trying to figure out what ta-wit ta-woo was from

I remember its an owl from some kids show...but damned if I can remember which one

My guesses were mr rogers and mr. dressup, but my memory is very hazy from that period of my life.

It's from QI sortof. There's a misconception that some or other species of owl goes ta-wit-ta-woo, but they only make the noise when they're talking to another owl. Anyway, it seemed like something cool to my status to when I made my avatar an owl.
