I could possibly post more of the convos to Spoilers, just has been pretty barren except for the occasional talk between Dude and Shin.

How many times I gotta say it... second guessing yourself in Mafia is a terrible idea. I'm pretty sure you did this same thing Thursday in a previous game and it kept biting you in the foot!

I'm sure we can get by with just a single message. For example:

"Ok, I got the Lover card. My partner is/is not Mockra. Please choose a kill target in your one message to me and I will confirm it in my action thread."



Now the following is important. If you got the lover card, and I have already messaged you before you are able to tell me that you are the lover, then it would be up to you to choose the kill target and include it in the sample message, so I can confirm it. For example:

"Ok, I got the Lover card. My partner is/is not Mockra. You have messaged me already so I choose **** as our kill target. Please confirm."

Because if we couldn't agree on a target, we'd be screwed for a kill that night.

Well I wasn't on to indicate that Serc voted, which will probably anger the players, because Serc's vote was hijacked by the Mayor. If I had been on, I could have indicated 8 votes were on Ampelas but he wasn't lynched. So it's kind of my fault that Ampelas wasn't lynched, because I'm pretty sure Silchas would have cast the lynching vote.

I left ampelas alive because technically he wasn't lynched. Just wish I had been around at the right time.

Yeah, there was a mistake there - Ampelas should have been lynched, since the Mayoral action doesn't come into effect until the Day after it is used.

I don't have time to fix things until the end of the work day - I'll do that as soon as I can.

Well that's frustrating. I was pretty sure it went into effect the day the card was drawn, because of this:

The language seems to indicate that the card is effective for the day it is drawn, not the day after, but I guess you're saying that it's a night action that affects the next day.

Since Ampelas hasn't posted yet, I went ahead and killed him and all is again right with the world

Yeah, sorry about that, perhaps should have been a bit clearer. The thing is that in order for the thief to be able to steal cards, they all need to be activated at the same time (which is why the lover card being activated early was a mistake on my part - what if the thief had tried to steal from them?). Still, no lasting damage - it's not like Ampelas had added anything since the lynch anyway.

Finally for spoilers - I am under the assumption that Olar Ethil is my symp because he said he had the thief card and didn't use it, when in fact I had it. I am under the assumption therefor that he had the role finder card, and used it on me....and maybe Bargy got the vig? So they could still kill. Wish ful thinking, and probably wrong, but still.

Bent has made an incredible tactical mistake! Olar Ethil had the thief on Day 1 and didn't use it... Bent thinks it was Day 2 (when he had it), for some reason. However, even though he has made a mistake, he has a provisional set up to kill HP (instead of Kalse) if HP has the King. This is tactically sound because it's unlikely his lackeys will hold the King (or Consort or Bomber, for that matter). And as luck would have it, HP does have the King today!

I have allowed the provisional as stated because Find results are resolved before Kill results and thus it seems logical that Bent could find a target and quickly determine if he wants to kill the target given the result.

Let me know if you disagree with this ruling.

It's all good. I just wish people would go back to playing. No one seams to want to do anything anymore. The last few games people have just been coasting along not playing the game......I tried to get people going playing "off the wall", but even that didn't get people posting.
