Anyone thinking about picking up Brink tomorrow? The concept seems great, and It is developed by Splash Damage and published by Bethesda, so I have pretty high hopes for it. There should be some reviews for it dropping soon, but I will probably just go ahead and buy it.

I dont know how i never got around to playing this game.

It does look awesome. My roommate's been lusting after it all through production, gleefully salivating over all the pre-release stuff.

I don't see what's so special about it...
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. Well...IGN just gave it a six. And they are pretty notorious for using the Four Point Scale, which basically means their review translate to "this is atrociously average". :S

I haven't read the review (mainly because I'm not getting the game even if they gave it 10/10 and it was the BEST GAME EVER, I'm too far behind in other games, have no interest in another frag-fest, and have too much going on at uni right now, regardless [and my holidays are accounted for with travel]), but I'd recommend checking it out if you're looking into the game (though obviously IGN is not the most objective gaming site) soon. Yep, I was pretty excited about the release of Brink, but I always wait to pick up a game until reviews come out... I guess I am glad that I did. It sounds like they are going to have to patch it on day 1 for the Xbox, which is pretty awful. I will pay attention to it over the next week or so to see if the reviews change or improve. If not, I will be skipping this one... what a bummer.

The multiplayer videos looked pretty fun, but apparently it is just frustrating and boring.

Next tuesday has the releases of Witcher 2 and LA Noir. Which do I get first?

Definitely LA Noir if it is as good as it seems. I'm sure The Witcher 2 is going to be great as well, but LA Noire brings a whole new approach to game play and it has that whole "Rockstar quality" going for it.

yes. and it's coming out same time as LA Noire, which is a console-only game. I laugh derisively in Rockstar's general direction.

Today after work it's Witcher 2 time. I'll be taking this one considerably slow-ish, in the range of 7-8 hours each day max (that is, I won't be taking days off to play it). I really do hope it's as good as I'm expecting, cos I've had a resurgence of interest in Civilization V (I should really play more scenarios!)
