I skipped all that came between black flag and Origins. The sea battles and general openness of Black flag compared to say AC3 was refreshing but I'd say skip it and enjoy not-so-ancient Egypt.

Gave it some thought, and skipped out on the Age of Empires IV pre-order. Relic's been all over the place with their games' quality and 80 CAD is not a small sum.
So instead I'm gonna to pre-order *just* the new Age of Empires II expansion on its own for 11 bucks. It's out on Monday, and it's got a Lithuanian campaign and one about the Hussite Wars, which makes me wanna squee in glee.
Also, there's now a Polish civ. Well worth the cash.

So I noticed Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is only £8 on the PS Store and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is only £3 on there... I have heard good things but never played, would it be worth getting one or both of them?

I'd watch some videos of the gameplay. They're ancient games by modern standards.
I do recall loving Jedi Knight 2. The shooting was good and you could use jedi powers to force choke imperial soldiers and throw them off ledges.
It was one of the first games I ever pirated, most have been around 2000-2001. I was blown away that you could just download a game. Ah, to be that young and carefree once more, when the internet was an open sea of piratable garbage that would infest your computer with spam.

Seems the first one is quite heavily focused around multiplayer so I may just get the second one...

Picked up Jedi Fallen Order for £17 on Steam over the weekend.
Also downloaded Nier Automata on Game Pass for PC. I refunded the Steam version because it wasn't great, but this Game Pass version seems to be running perfectly.

Deathloop is getting great reviews, so I've preordered it. Perfect start to a two week vacation.

Glad the game is being well received, lets hope it sells better than the Dishonored games.
Next up on my radar is Eastward, coming out on Thursday. I hope that one gets good reviews as well. It looks like a modern take on Secret of Mana. I love that kind of retro 16 bit aesthetic.

I've been hit with some unexpected expenses.
Deathloop gonna have to wait until it's down to 50 CAD in the Winter sale.

I bought Hades last night. Got to the first boss but tend to forget I'm supposed to dodge. Just came off Spider man: MIles Morales so the complete lack of a jump is taking some getting used to. But it's a very cool aesthetic for a Greek mythology game.

Bought Eastward on Steam. The art style alone had me on board but the reviews were fairly positive as well.
Also bought Boomerang X since it was on sale. Got a lot of buzz a couple months ago. Not sold on the art style but it's supposedly extremely satisfying to play.

It truly nailed the no run feels like a failure bit. No matter how poorly you do, you get enough to improve Zagreus a little, and you get all these awesome story progressions too.

Just bought Battlefield V from Steam, just because it was 5,99€ / -90%. Heard that it's pretty much full of cheaters and not that great which is why I've been putting off buying it (and Hell Let Loose is for my WW2 fever).

Bought Hades off the PlayStation Store. Haven't started yet. Any advice or "wish I had known before playing" gotchas for a n00b?

Just talk to everyone all the time, and don't worry about resources, you will always get more of them.

Just only started and haven't had much time to play, but how the progression works is engaging. Each time you return (after dying) back to the starting hub - House of Hades, and triggering new dialog from the NPCs has been a really interesting way to lay out the narrative. Developer Supergiant Games has always been top notch when it comes to story and voice acting, and Hades continues that tradition.

Deathloop is 45% off at GMG... but I've got a bunch of earlier Arkane titles still to play.
Picked up a few things off my wishilst in the Steam sale, as well as THey Always Run off GOG- that sci-fi platformer about the 3-armed bounty hunter. Played the demo before and it was it was a lot of fun.
