Apparently the Nathan Drake collection is free on the PS Store even if you're not on the PSN/PSPlus but I couldn't see it. Maybe it's just America? Apparently there's another game free called Journey...

Definitely grab Journey if you can. It's a game that defies most conventions about what video games are and can be.

I haven't played the Nathan Drake games, but I've downloaded them and hope to jump into a end to end play through eventually.

My wife bought a Wii U so we can play the old Zelda games. We finished Links Awakening on Switch recently and are doing breath of the wild now.

This will be interesting.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

How much was U and where from?

I think they are $114 at game store. Gonna buy one just for Xenoblade X.

We paid like $140 for the console, two nunchuk sets, a pro controller, two white gun things, a black pistol thing, about 12 games we mostly don't want, the handheld pad thing, and charging gear for it all.

Seemed like a good deal with all that stuff. My partner found it on eBay.

Evil Within duology re-released on GOG, with a very good discount. Both games + season pass for 1 for 25 CAD. That was a no-brainer.

Last year saw Focus Home put basically all of their catalogue there, and I pretty much called it that Bethesda's single player games would be next. So far we had Dishonored trilo, Evil Within, plus the first new Wolf + expansion. I'm guessing either Prey or Rage will be next.

Well I downloaded the Nathan Drake collection and Journey as they were free on PSN. Now if I ever finish AC Odyssey I might even get a chance to start one of them!

A piece of advice on Journey.

You should set aside up to three hours roughly for Journey, which is how long it took me to complete it in one sitting.

Journey is an adventure that fits its title. You will experience a journey that can be quite emotional if you bond with your co-op partner(s). Which is also why I'd recommend playing Journey sooner rather than later while there's an influx of new players.

Every time I see Journey mentioned I go back and play it through again.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I'm kinda tempted to play Journey one more time but the first trip was so memorable that I don't want to spoil the experience by trying to recreate what I felt.

It's still worth it. It's definitely made to repeat, and having different companions makes it different enough. Just as rewarding anyway.

I know literally nothing about it I just grabbed it because it was free! I'm not on PSN so I won't be playing with others anyway.

Knowing nothing about it is actually a great way to start your journey <<<< see what I did there? Posted Image

Having no preconceptions or ideas about the game going in will magnify its impact.

Sweet I'll just take it as it comes. Do I need to be online to play? Is it co-op only?

It's still a hugely memorable experience. Dont look it up, just put some time aside and work through.

You don't have to be online, but what is a journey without meeting other wayfarers along the way. Posted Image

Shogun Total War 2 is currently free on Steam apparently. While none of them are as good as Rome this was still fun.

Adam Jensen Deus Ex games + Dungeon Siege trilogy now on GOG.

Never expected this to happen, tbh. Which explains why I bought the Dungeon Siege trilo on Fanatical yest.

But re-buying it here is like... half of what I paid? Acceptable.

Epic Store started giving out GTA 5 Premium edition today. Crashed teh store for many hours.

They've also got a pretty insane sale going. especially on Ubisoft's games.

I think I'm gonna buy a bunch of Ubi games over the weekend, because the prices are pretty crazy, considering every time you spend over 21 CAD, you can apply a 14 CAD discount coupon, AND you get another one for your next purchase.
(oh, and I can pay in CAD now, so my biggest gripe with the store is kinda gone now)
