Technically bought this two days ago, but Kingdom Hearts III - been playing it a couple nights now, and I'm enjoying it.
Some of the new movement stuff is a little quirky/weird and I'm not very good at it all... yet. Some of the early dialogue is stilted and weird, but as I get further into the game it gets better. A lot of the new fight mechanics are fun, and the plethora of AP is definitely different from previous games. If you haven't played all the little side games on devices other than the Playstation, they provide a string of "what has happened so far" mini-movies right at the beginning of the game. I haven't taken the time to watch them all as I had played most of the other games, but I'm thinking I might take the time this weekend, cause there's lots of crazy shit happening in the story that I have no idea about. They seem to be referencing a lot of stuff that happened in those side games after Kingdom Hearts II, though maybe it's just a weirdly structured story that will become more understandable as I move through the game more. *shrugs* Anyway, so far I've done Olympus, Twilight Town, Kingdom of Corona (from Tangled), and am working my way through Toy Story world now. Am excited to see what's next!

There is no struggle too vast, no odds too overwhelming, for even should we fail - should we fall - we will know that we have lived. ~ Anomander Rake
My sig comes from a game in which I didn't heed Blend's advice. So maybe this time I should. ~ Khellendros
I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

Fanatical had the first 2 Shenmues on sale, so grabbed those.
GMG had a publisher sale for Focus Home Interactive- grabbed the second Styx games, and a couple of others.

Feeling very tempted by Pillars of Eternity 2 now that it has had turn-based combat added in the latest patch.

Bloody hell! About 10 games from my wishlist have appeared in this latest Steam sale. Damn. Oh well, I've got more than enough to be getting on with at the moment - there will be other sales.

GMG finally has prices in CAD now!
Oh, and Squeeenix Japan sale. While Squeeenix is also having a sale on their own site. Having VIP discounts on GMG saves me extra 5 percent, so I grabbed a few games: Star Ocean, FF8, chrono trigger.
Also, new release this week is "Eternity: Last Unicorn", a 3D fixed camera action RPG with Norse elements. Published by 1C, looks like pure euro-jank of the sort that I love, and it's on a good sale, so why not support a new dev?
Might still grab a few non-Japanese Squeeenix games off their site- they got a couple of puzzlers for like 2 USD each.

Be honest, how many times have you bought that game across all platforms?

Bought fractured but whole for switch. Ubisoft sale!
I love the switch. I play more on it now than anything because of the convenience of playing in bed or wherever!
I remember stick of truth was a game that I think overstayed ots welcome at 15 hours but I do remember thinking it was a celver adaption, fun to play and enjoyable. So heres hoping

I loved Stick of Truth but I think Fractured Butthole was extremely weak. It has a few great moments but nothing like SOT. The combat is better but that's pretty much the only improvement.

Spring is in the air. 'tis the season of samurais hitting demons with pointy metal things. Or something.
I'm planing to buy Sekiro in a few weeks. Meanwhile, I grabbed Onimusha: Warlords from GMG, as well as Nioh: Complete Edition since it was 50% off on Steam.
I figured I need to play Onimusha before I get into any of the modern Sengoku-inspired action games, before once I play those, I probably won't be able to appreciate the older game.

I bought Minecraft for the switch.
Not played for ages... just lost three hours building a small but tidy villa by the sea, started a mine, tamed a horse, and even got myself blown up.
It's utterly absorbing. I think it hits the right note on some psychological level - basically being able to make your own space, design and build a home, spend time collecting supplies and creating new items brings a real escape from all the crap and stress and out of control events in rl.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Used some of my birthday gift vouchers last week to get Yakuza 0 (pc) and Ys VIII (Switch). Also got the Lionheart edition of Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel for the Vita off ebay, even though I'll probably end up playing it on pc. Don't ask why, cos I'm not sure I would have a valid answer - other than "I wanted it"

Bought The Division 2.
All the coverage I've seen so far has been positive and I liked what I played during the demo.
Been looking for a good podcast game.

Picked up Skyrim PS4 edition cos I felt like playing it again and I have a week where I'm away and my wife and baby are going to my parents while I'm away. I'll take the PS4 with me and okay it as I'll be alone every evening. Can't wait it's been so long since I've played something.

Oh, alright then.

GOG spring sale started.
With Epic Games Store announcing how much money they are saving me this year yesterday, I think I'll finally pick up Hellblade now. And then see what their next flash sales offer.

Also, Humble is having a Namco publisher sale. Picked up Dark Souls 2 for 75% off. Figured if I end up liking Sekiro, I'd want o play the earlier games as well.
