From what I read it was pretty close, Urus had plenty opprtunities to score. Pity I couldn't see the match.

Last game in cape town was last night.
It was insane...people are going nuts over here.

The dutch wouldnt leave the stadium, for an hour after the game they were still singing and cheering in the stands.

As were the players. Next time they complain about cramp or being tired, I wouldn't mind if the referee told them they had the energy to party after the semis, so can play on now :)

Nah, seriously, the pre-tournament favourites are continuing to shine.

Considering pre tournament it was predicted that this was to be a 'building' competition for Germany, surely a place in the playoff for third isn't too shabby?

God, I can only dream of Scotland making it to a major tournament again. You've got to remember, when I was growing up, missing out on '94 was a blip. A freak occurrence. the first time we hadn't qualified since 1970! And then we qualified again for '98, everything was back on track. Glorious failure in the first round.

Pretty surprised by the result. I haven't thought spain have been that good so far. Rooting for the netherlands to win.

Schweinsteiger played... well, like he didn't play at all. Result: no goal for Germany. Spain didn't play all that great.

For the final... I'm gonna root for Holland.
3rd place... Can't say, it's my sympathy for Uruguay's spirit vs European chauvinism... I'll be rooting for a good game.
