Webcomics, like you need another timewaster... because the old one got nuked...

So I was searching for the old old old webcomics thread (needing a new one to distract myself), and it's nowhere to be found.
Anyway, I'm reading:
Erfworld which is a strategy-game themed phenomenal comic even for non-supernerds.
Order of the Stick DnD themed comic, classic.
Goats an interesting webcomic whose most recent incarnation is plot, artistic, and comedic gold.
megaGAMERZ 3133T recently cancelled, but the archives are an unstoppable absurdist juggernaut.
What are we all wasting our lives on?

Brightlywound- which was a science based one (not sure if theyre still updating but it slowed down)
Buttersafe- very random, (just sort of fell away from that)
Cectic- religion vs science basically (same as brightlywound)
Ctrl-Alt-Delete- Gamer based (not sure why i stopped reading this)

Hum... let's see.
-Questionable Content is always great fun. Weekdays and has a huge archive. Excellent for wasting time.
-Girl Genius all around pure fun. Start from the beginning though or you're getting lost.
-The Seraph-Inn has one completed comic (Inverloch) and one that currently updates twice a week, though the updates are 2 or 3 pages a shot (Phoenix Requiem) and another side comic (Dreamless). More serious than the other two.
I stopped following Sluggy Freelance after a while. It has been running for over a decade, with updates 6 days (minimum) a week. This is the place to got waste time.
I also read a few of the ones already mentioned
-Least I Could Do
-XKCD
-LFG
-Cyanide and happiness

I've put all of the comics that I read into a Yahoo Pipe. You can check it out here.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

My regular time wasters are xkcd, C&H, SMBC, Penny Arcade and Dinocomics. (have at some point or the other started at the beginning of the archives and hit present day in all of these) I've also read the the entire archive of Questionable Content, Dr McNinja and Least I Could Do, but I battle to follow comics that have story arcs since I dont get time every day and cant read through them backwards until I find one's I've seen before. I think there were a couple of others, but since I cant remember them I dont think they were very good. Dresden Codac is also awesomely well drawn, but only updates every other month or so.

Is it possible for you gusy to throw up some examples of your favorite comics along with the name, maybe?

Sinfest and Least I Could Do are my must-reads. LFG was great when it was more centered on Richard being silly rather than save-the-world... that little videoclip was awesome. I loved Exploitation Now, especially before the whole drama thing came up in it (after that, not so much), but then, I've got an extremely vulgar sense of humour.

Already mentioned LICD and LFG. I find LFG to be getting boring, but LICD is still brilliant. I used to read Megatokyo as well but that got very boring too...
EDIT, but I kinda stopped reading webcomics ever since I discovered TVTropes...

Erfworld, first comic (from book 1):

Order of the Stick, one of the first

And I'm having trouble picking a non-spoilerific episode of goats.

Mmmmm, Sinfest is great once you've been reading it for a while (I started reading it in like 2002). The recurring jokes and a lot of the Sunday strips are simply fantastic. And like LICD, he updates it every single day which is awesome.
I also support the reading of C&H, LFG and xkcd, whic have already been mentioned.
Head Trip is a fairly entertaining one, though hasn't been going long and I gather it stopped updating months ago. I read through the whole thing in an afternoon.
Concerned: The half-life and death of Gordon Frohman is a finished one made with half-life 2 that is hilarious if you've played through Half-Life 2 and can semi-recall the plot. Example: http://www.hlcomic.c...date=2005-12-14
Pictures for Sad Children is my guilty pleasure. It is very weird and depressing, but often in a funny way (if you have a morbid sense of humour). The earlier parts of it can be hard to read at first and often go continuously from page-to-page instead of each page being a seperate entry. The newer ones are better at this and are more frequently stand-alone jokes. Example: http://www.picturesf...php?comicID=287

All of the ones I read have been mentioned, but I only try to keep up with LICD.
All the rest I will read when I have some free time (It has been like six months for sluggy, I should go catch up.)

Am I the only one who doesn't like Least I Could Do? Because if I am, you all have shit taste.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I didn't used to. Now I quite enjoy it.

I don't like the earlier stuff as much, but generally I find each of the major changes (Chad being replaced by Lar, Noel added and Jon becoming a minor char, the complete visual overhaul they did at some point) has improved the strip and now I like it a lot more. Plus they update every single day, which very, very few webcomics do, so that's a gold star in my book.

I guess I'm still hung up on the main character being an unlikeable fuckbin of a manchild with no flaws and no drawbacks in his life who does nothing to deserve his exalted lifestyle and fucks over all of his friends endlessly to the point where they should have left his ass for all the shit he's thrown their way vastly overwhelming any good acts he's done for them and who wins every argument by leaving the other person speechless with some piece of hypocritical shit if they're one of the many many strawmen or by mentioning something completely irrelevant and unconnected to what the whole issue is about, and generally being a mouthpiece idealised selfinsert by the author, who is also literally a plastic container used for cleaning vaginas. Seriously, the comics where he dressed up as a cop, listened to a police radio for lesbian domestic disturbances, went to the scene of one where both were of course beautiful, says some obvious trite bullshit while they stand there blindly assuming he's a genuine policemen even after he suggests a threesome? It's shit of the highest caliber, typed with one sweaty hand.
Also Looking for Group's Richard ripped off 8-Bit Theater's Black Mage so hard Sohmer's still holding part of Clevinger's torso.

Ah yes, because the characterization of C&H/xkcd's nameless stick-figures are so emotional and realistic, aren't they? And Gabe from Penny Arcade is far more than just a hyperactive game-addicted socially-inept man-child who spits out random statements (also applies to Ethan from CAD and the protaganist of just about any other gaming webcomic)... And Slick from Sinfest isn't just a ineptly-womanizing midget who thinks looking like a pimp will get him chicks...
It's a webCOMIC, Illy. Like most print comics, the characters are extremely two-dimensional and not likely to change. If the character's behaviour brings in numerous laughs, why would they ever change him? Charlie Brown never learned not to trust Lucy with the football because that joke was funny, and 3 panels Charlie saying "No, I am not going to kick the ball because you will move it" (and then actually not kicking it) would not be funny at all. Do you read For Better or For Worse? That entire comic is continuous and plotted and people get pregnant and die and have horrific mistakes and such. And it's not funny! The demographic of whimsical trophy wives who enjoy reading that comic (and even they don't find it funny, just emphatic) are not generally present on the internet, so a webcomic has to stick to the funny genre, not the serious-dramatic-plot genre.
If you want deep characterization, characters who learn from mistakes and realism, go read a book (I hear there's some Erikson guy you might like)!

I think the two of you should do a webcomic.
We can call it CoHaHoC.
