Super speed like the Flash, so I can get loads done in a short time, and set off somewhere about a second before needing to be there. ;)

I want the invisible forcefields of Sue Richards -- gets you telekinesis, flight, conjuration, all in one handy package! If it came with the invisibility too, that'd be ace!
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

All right, Now what would be the first thing you would do with your new found powers?

Me? I would Photoshop a big, saggy, Grandma tit right in the middle of Cougar's forehead. He would have to comb it over with a piece of duct tape just to see. This way we could all be justified in telling him to "stop being such a tit". ;)

I fear my attempts at wordplay may have started this thread on a slippery slope...

I want to be able to read people's minds, but on whim, not automatically so that I hear everybody's thoughts and go insane...
man the things I want to dig out from some of my friend's minds...
and invisibilty would be nice too!

When a man lies he murders
Some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which
Men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear
To witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation
Take me home

Perfect knowledge absorption. Every book I read I will not only remember perfectly but also be able to instinctively understand absolutely everything within it.

Yes, criminal law makes my head hurt ;)

Alternatively, to be able to, through writing, to inspire any emotion in the reader. In a single sentence being able to make the reader cry, laugh, get angry, depressed and so on.

Crim law? I'd rather crim law than legislation or commercial paper any day of the flippin week.

If it's American crim law you are studying Morg's, I've got a couple books I can bring to give to you to help out.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

No, I'm doing norwegian crim law and international maritime law, but thanks anyway ;)

I didn't do Maritime law as an individual class, but it was included in my International Law class. Pretty damn interesting just how cut up the world is into nation states, ain't it? The laws delineating where continental shelves are property of an individual country and what not (thanks petroleum!) are fascinating.

And also how the US refuse to aknowledge pretty much any international convention working towards uniforming maritime law.

Maritime law is a specially interesting field for Norway considering how much of the ocean we lay claim to, how long our coastline is, and how many rusted oil tankers travel down the coast from russia.

Well, the U.S. pretty much refuses to agree to any international treaty that isn't in their advantage. Helps when you've got the biggest Navy in the world, as well.
