During a horribly contrived Season 3 story arc.... The only good parts out of it was Kristen Bell got a lot of screen time.

Panicky Omtose, blatantly symping Barghast, who may or may not be a newbie. As much as I think something is smelling fishy on Omtose, the symping is impossible to ignore and warrants voting.

vote Barghast

I just read all posts since my last one. I'm being asked by someone to respond to everything Omtose posted as a defense. Sum up please, I don't have the kind of time need to go through all his posts today.

Bargy/symp case
I had been hoping people would see it the same way Tellan and I have seen it and would let the noob live a day or two. But alas I will be adding my vote to his train later more than likely. I don't think it's symping in any form. I don't think the players knows enough about how to play at that.

As to strategy? I would always think the killers must be top priority. I look at it this way, even if I'm recruited I have a chance to win. There is no chance if the killers pick me off.

That and The Cullens. Just on principals ;)

I concur, the cullens have to go.

if we're lucky, D'rek made Edward suicidal so that he dies if he fails to recruit Bella or something, ;)

@ Galain: I recognize the sentiment about recruitment, but a (limited) cult (oh shit, he mentions the c**t word) gets progressively stronger while weakening the town and are able to divert lynches at times, which is towns tool to dispose of scum, whereas killers keep the same strength throughout the game. It really is choosing between two evils, but I think when we encountered the problem of killers AND cult in the past, we usually went for killers first, and usually, after that, the cult won as their numbers weren't culled.

Also: eh? what? You usually win when your faction wins, sir, whether you are dead or alive, so your statement is rather strange.

sorry guys, my pc has some sort of virus on and every time i try to run an antivirus it suddenly gets its permissions locked out. going to have to rebuild this pain in the ass so will be back on tomorrow (dont have a windows disk here) and dont want to use this thing anymore.

vote barghast

i dont like people jumping on to agree with people so readily. it just doesnt make sense to signal someone that way, so i have to assume its some form of faking which means they are likely not town.

Here for a little while.

ofcourse i cant be sure about anything.
But in my opinion... an inno would not vote so willy nilly on a case like that without being pretty sure the other player is not on your team.

If i think someone trying to stay below the radar, in a game like this...i would at least first ATTEMPT to find out if that person is more or less likely on my side, before throwing out wild votes based on a non case made from a persons very first post!
He does not seem paranoid to me at all, he seems like he just needed an excuse to place a vote.

With everything that has happened i find that he more likely than not could know his team already...its not solid proof by any means but for me it at least something on day 1.

Galain, I was referring to the above post, I think the question why you seem so sure about your vote is a valid one.

Which one? Powerless Sylar or super powered evil Sylar or good Sylar?

That was the most frustrating game of Mafia I have ever played. My team had 0 shot of winning -.-

let's not bring up that game again.

I'm still scarred and break down when people mention action points....

@ Eloth: that may be a slip by Galain, but it looks too obvious.

I can respect the fact that peopleare unwilling to vote Bargy cause they are new. But really we should keep Meta out of it. It's cost us more than one game in the past. Scummy behavior is scummy behavior imo.

Telas reiterated, and stated it better than I could regarding Omtose. He's like a rabbit jumping at shadows once he had 2 votes on him EARLY in day 2.

Other than that, there has been good participation for a day 1. We will definately have things to mull over tomorrow after the CF. I don't like to fixate, on one thing too too much gonna go back and see if there is anything else I can see. Someone mentioned a possible Omtose Symping Bargy which I never thought of.. but it does fit.

I think I am ready to place my vote. Despite the dangers that we are targeting the symp rather than the master, Barghast has been rather suspicious (in fact I was the first one to call him out on his strange vote post) and so I am willing to vote Barghast.

One other thing though, Galain did seem to me at least a little alarmed he had grabbed so much attention with his case, and seemed to be trying to divert all attention onto Omtose, and that struck me as a little suspicious, so I am keeping an eye on him still.

Shouldn't the vote be on a separate line, Alkend?

it should always be on a separate lines, but some mods care less than others.

I suppose we'll see soon enough

Not if they are all dead, or weakened so bad as to be unable to meet a win condition. I think you need to reread the rule for this game.

I never said my vote was the only valid direction. My vote was to see what would happen. This is the first day of the game. More than likely the best first day for info in many a game.

let me break down his post for you.

That is dumbest thing I have seen written in this game. This is mafia, we vote to win. If someone jump out as scummy to you you bring it up and you VOTE.
and I never voted for Willy or Nilly.

I think you need some therapy Omtose. Paranoid? I think you need only look in the mirror. That statement above SCREAMS paranoia.

This part screams "inside info" Am I on your team?
